DiRT Rally v1.11 patch - with update to Pikes Peak!

Cars seem to engage the corners automatically, and less slip. The passage in ruts seem more soft and easy. Less accident... Should I deduct more arcad ?

Maybe it's because there is a mess between controller and wheel setups ? Obviously the game is paired the wheel as a controller.

Just to show you the impact of this failure. Todays online daily event of the 1521 people who have posted a time, only 109 have been posted using a wheel.

FFB is virtually non existent on my T300RS on PS4. Only a light rumble when off track. That coupled with the wheel settings all messed up makes for a frustrating time of it. Gave up after 15 minutes.

Get this fix out as soon as is possible Codemasters.

Thanks

Well, screw this. Today I'll back up my progress, switch off auto-updates and uninstall and reinstall the game. Still no answer from anyone on whether I'll lose anything besides online capabilities...?
I play without the update, no problem at all except that, of course, I can not play online...

I read here and there that some thrust wheels are working again since a new update, is it true? Is there a fix that has not been announced yet?
I've tried to stop the update from downloading but realised it's impossible!!! The only way is to switch off from the internet, did you do that too? So now I have an offline PS4 because of this. Knowing this is how it works, it's really important that developers test their patches extensively before release! Huge fail, codies!!!

Do not ever buy a codemaster title , I invite all to make my own choice , even to this day have not found a solution and we do not know anything .

What a surprise !! Still no fix to the biggest error ever seen on a so called " Testet patch ". Good job codemasters. I dont care about your excuses. it means nothing to me. I want to know when we will be able to play the game properly, and not " we are working on it " FFS get your fingers out your a... and fix this ASAP. Now im just guessing, but i believe that the game will still be broken when we hit this time next week, sadly

Yeah we could use an update on the situation. Seriously... Obviously the whole issue is a joke but what really pisses me off is lack of daily updates from devs. I mean how hard it is for one of them to come to this forum once a goddamn day, create dedicated thread where they would post updates and keep us up to date.
Instead we have to go through several threads every time in search of some lousy post from moderator: "we are aware and we are working".

That's what really makes me mad. Treat your customers with respect and you will get respect in return. Treat us like you do now and you get forum full of people venting. Disgrace!

It has been a week now and we know exactly nothing.

Hi all, just to keep you updated: we now have a fix. We'll be looking to get this approved and out in days, rather than weeks - so again, once a date has been locked down, I'll be back here to let you all know. It shouldn't be long until I have this info, so stay tuned.

Me too, tried to disable autoupdate through ps4 system options but when I launch the game it starts to download the update! I have disabled the internet connection, but since I cannot play online without the patch... I enable it just to read messages etc.

Great news! Could we expect to have the D1 patch wheel/gearshift status or even something better?

Getting the motion blur from replays was really bumming me out, but I'm very happy to see the fix is coming, I'm also very excited about the Hillclimb update, can't wait to try the new PP, thanks so much Codemasters!

Just delete the download when it starts.

Days rather than weeks = between 1 and 14 days? Maybe more? Basically, carry on and wait with a broken game, while we feed you just enough information to try and shut people up.
If they had spent this long testing the last patch we would have not had this issue. I for one think this has been handled dreadfully, and should never have happened.
When it did happen, they should have just rolled back to the previously working patch that was previously approved and keep players happy whilst the broken patch was re-written.

Its fixed, patches go through certification at sony, they did their job, took a bit longer but its done, yes this shouldnt happen at all but i've seen worse patches believe me, i think that we'll get it next week for sure.

I understand that, so the patch that was fine and working before this fail was certified and could have been rolled back as soon as the error was found, and we could have had a working game all this time, and then the new tested and correct patch a few days later.
It's not like there was anything major in the patch IMO other than making the game unplayable, as the game was pretty solid already!
