Thrustmaster Wheel Workaround

Thanks to @madwak for figuring this out and posting it in several of the T300 Problem threads

"The patch appears to have locked the DOR at 360 which is a lot less than the default for the wheel, to remedy this you have to press and release at the same time (on the wheel) the "look right" button and the button next to the mode light - the mode light should then flash once, repeat this and it should flash twice. Now go to the advanced wheel settings in the game and check that steering sensitivity is 100. Steering linearity is 0. Steering dead zone is 0. Steering saturation is 100.  This should make the game driveable again for you? "

That's really not a work around. It makes it almost playable at best.

A touch passive aggressive for somebody representing a company wouldn't you say? 

To call it a workaround would suggest that the controls were passable with those settings, which they aren't. I realise that you haven't been able to test them though given that no one in codemasters owns a PS4 apparently.

I agree with Deckard.
I can only imagine how frustrating must be to defend company that gives no feedback about the issue. All the workarounds and ideas so far are coming from the community including the easiest solution in my opinion which is reinstalling the game with disabled autoupdate. I'm assuming with no update we can't use online features though.

Going back to passive agressive behaviour...Deckard is right. Skiddy take a day off go for a pint. It's not like anything is going to happened on sat afternoon and sunday. The only thing that will happen is more and more frustrated people will be venting which will annoy you even more. At this stage I think you only spicing things up with your posts ;)

It does make it markedly better and at least playable.

More help from that post than we have had from anyone at Codemasters. Whose idea was it to release a patch on a Friday anyway? Now nobody will try and fix it till Monday no doubt!

Do you not think as a moderator you would conduct yourself in a more dignified manner? Your post quoted above could almost be taken as passive aggressive. This forum seems to be full of smart Alec's who enjoy shouting down those that have reason to be genuinely annoyed. I'm sure @Deckard2014 will be banned or warned soon for his transgression.

That workaround was to fix the problem with the steering not the ffb, I've just gone and got a G29 to see what supposedly correct ffb actually feels like because my t300 and t500 feel nothing like what they do when playing Pcars compared to dirt rally.

Update - The ffb on the G29 isn't much different to the T300/500 :neutral:

Sorry I have no idea on this T300 troubles, they are only in ps4 version? I have bought one and if I cant play DiRT Rally on my PC i will blame myself for not reading this before buying LOL

As to passive aggressiveness, Skiddy is right, that's what a workaround is. How you can say something isn't so then say exactly what it is is fairly ironic. Also Skiddy, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not sure, but do you work for CM or just a forum Mod?
I'll also agree with Madwak and say the FFB in DR really isn't that great for some reason. Especially on Tarmac.

Guys the t300 (at least) on ps4 is totally broken, changing advanced wheel settings helps but is definitely not enough, I suggest to uninstall the game, turn autoupdate off (or disable internet connection completely) and reinstall the game again, this works for the disc version I own and I assure it's much better the plain version over the 1.02 version... Ok no online gaming but at least you can play the career.

Waiting for a hot fix of course.
