if the question is purely what is our favourite (rather than what you should buy): 2007 Focus :)

Get a Group B car and do the Monthly, If you're carefull and don't total the car by the end of it, you might win back the cost of the car, or even more

The Group B cars aren't exactly "user friendly". Jumping straight from the 60s class to the most powerful powermonsters with superpowers? Hmm, sceptical.

My suggestion would be to buy a Group A car instead. That will get you a nice 4WD that is less likely to kill it's driver at every bump or turn.

My favourite car is without doubt the Seat Ibiza kit car (FWD), but claiming that everyone loves it would be stretching it.

Three cars that I always enjoy driving are the Lancia Delta Integrale, Ibiza Kit Car and Fiesta RS.

I think you'll be better off working your way through the different eras. But as far as favourite cars go, it has to be the Focus RS '01 followed by the Evo X and the monster that is the Audi Quattro.

Agree, the 07 Focus drives beautifully

It's been many months since I've played since wheels don't work on PS4 anymore but the Evo X is probably my favourite. Though admittedly a large part of that is due to the engine sound. Most of the cars have something I like about them though. Even the Stratos.

Having played through every class, except for 2010's, I would have said the Group A Subaru Impreza 1995- so much fun once you have it upgraded and loosen it up for the tight turns, you can really throw it around and it sounds great too. However having recently bought the Lancia Delta S4 I may well have a new contender, it's not full upgraded yet so might become a bit of a handful like my Pug 205 Evo MI16 (which when fully upgraded is too hot for me most of the time) The S4 is powerful yet feels light and highly manoeuvrable, the sound is not the best (not as throaty as the real thing) but it sure is a lot of fun.

Other notable cars I've enjoyed are the R4 Mitsu Evo X, the VW Polo Rally and the Delta Intergrale

Fully agree with this! I went from the 60's cars to a Group B (the Peugeot 205 T16) and it was a massive learning curve.

I would say one of the R4 class cars is the gentlest way to introduce yourself to 4WD. Group A is my fave rally car class though and the cars are good fun to drive, so that's probably the best compromise.

So true, I'll master it one day but at present it almost feels too fast for the tighter tracks  :#

@Chivalry Don't buy directly a group B, it's not good for your learning curve ! It's like switching between Kart to Formula One ... It's even worse ;)

Try a not too scary 4WD like a R5 or a Groupe A. You will learn to drive fast with a not-so-hard-to-control car!

Groupe B are the very last car you should buy, when you master all others, in my opinion. You will enjoy it ... but later!

I suggest trying the R4 class, cars are quite competitive and easy to control, then you start learning to use your handbrake in hairpins, I on the other hand started with the 70s Lancia Stratos, mainly because I sucked at rearwheel drive in the beginning, now I'm more confident, and I have to agree that from the 70s rearwheel drive cars the lancia has the best handling, wide tires and relatively easy to control, but that's just me, if you are not confident with rear wheel drive cars, take the R4 class.

Been there, done that. Just that with the Quattro, not 205 and with V1 handling...

As to favourite car... Focus 01. I just love how reckless you can be with that car. But if you go a slightly bit too reckless, you often end at the top of the nearby tree xD
Also, if we include Pikes Peak cars in the list, then naturally Quattro E2. It's incredible on the tarmac side. It feels like you're dancing with that car while going up the mountain.

On that Pikes Peak note, I agree the Quattro E2 is fun to drive, but I achieve better times with the 405 T16 somehow, weird enough.
