Lancia 037 Evo stability

Recommended Posts

Hi, I came on this forum to ask about the Lancia 037 Evo and its terrible stability. I really do not understand why it is so hard to control. I play with the Thrustmaster T500, all the helps disabled and the standard car set-up.
There's no other RWD car in the game that reacts like the 037, in my opinion is a big oversteer problem (or very low ground-wheels grip), to just touch the accelerator makes it drift TOO easily and basically I'm always turning the wheel on the right and left very fastly for compensate the perennial oversteer, especially on Wales/Finland stages. I tried the Opel Manta 400 on the same tracks and it is a lot more drivable.

So, my question is if I'm the only one who noticed this. I also tried to change the car settings (also if usually I use the standard ones) for increase grip and stability but the difference wasn't enough.

ps. forgive my english

Generally speaking... read this thread: http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/42034/walter-roehrl-made-me-understand-the-037

car if fine just takes time and effort. lock up the differential to the strongest setting.then its corners.be gentle on and of the brakes and throttle while you learn it. or youll end up doing circles.

The 037 requires a lot of patience with the throttle, keep in mind that you steer a car with your throttle and brakes (through weight transfer), the wheel only gives the general direction. I suggest trying to drive the 037 as calm as you possibly can and see if that makes a difference, any sudden movement will make you go into spin mode, as the already linked thread describes, drive it more like an F1 car.

I think it's an amazing car to drive, it's a bit tricky when it comes to the snowy stages of Sweden, but other then that, really fun!
