Now I have fully upgraded it, I decided to have a crack at a full Championship in the '01 Focus. Having done a good run of stages in it, I can understand why so many of you rave about it: it's a proper laugh to drive!

Was quite interesting yesterday. Same track on both dailies, so I compared a few of the top drivers. Seems like the Integrale is as fast or even a bit faster than the Polo in Wales....

Well, for the first Daily people practice, which makes them a lot faster. For Wager they drive safely, like in an actual rally, since they "can't" practice. Result is simple, slower times in general.

I usually drive about the same pace in both regular dailys and wager dailys, but in wager dailys I'm usually quite a bit lower in the standings. It seems that either people are taking more risks there or maybe they just don't count the onse that crash out or something.
And yesterday I started with rhe Integrale run and just messed up the Polo one (didn't matter it had the same track)

Thought I'd re-ignite this thread again as I was looking at some of the leaderboards for the 2010 class yesterday. I was surprised by how many top 10 times included the Fiesta, I had been expecting them all to be dominated by the Polo.

The Polo is so overrated. I too, prefer the Fiesta, and the Countryman, even... over the Polo. I mean I'm not a huge fan of the 2010's, but if I had to pick... :D

Oh really? I shouldn't really choose cars based on the looks, but I think the Countryman is a hideous looking rally car so I have given it a wide berth: I have driven the Countryman to fully upgrade it, but that's about it!

I'll have to spend some more time with both the MINI and the Fiesta.

Don't let the Countryman's van-like appearance fool you; it can be devastatingly quick in the right hands. I've seen rampage and gheed pull insane times with it.

i often get annoyed at people who think the polo is the quickest. mostly the fiesta wins overall. the mini is very quick aswell but takes more overall skill to get the best out of the flying hamburger. :D

porky is quick in it so is richie.they can set very fast times in it. i cant :p

I wouldn't call it hideous, it is a bit more bulky (the Countryman is an SUV after all), I just don't like any of the default liveries. Looks wise I think the best one is the Polo, but in terms of driving I actually prefer the Hyundai. Looking at the 2010s weekly leaderboards, not a lot of people use the Hyundai

Sorry, we'll have to agree to disagree there @Didzis: no matter what livery it's in, I still think it looks like a brick!

Looks wise it's close between the Polo and Fiesta for me, though the Fiesta just wins (it would be a clear winner for me if it had some more recent liveries in game, though I appreciate it's model and livery is based on the pre-Evo variant Fiesta WRC).

I like the i20. Again my time with it is limited, but it looks good and sounds excellent.

I like the handling of Hyundai as well, shame it's the slowest of the 2010s. Polo is mainly held back by the long shift times, which are not the case with Fiesta, so powershifting with it is especially OP. Fiesta on the other hand feels like it has no torque whatsoever -_- Mini is big but dayum it does pull quite nicely. It does take a bit of practice to get used to the bulkiness of it and a custom livery to make it doable to eyes :D

The correct answer of course is...any car that Porky drives!

I know many people dislike the default setup of the Fiesta but I really enjoy it. It responds so well shifting weight when on the brakes. Really makes the front end pitch downwards.

I would say that the default setup on that car is... default. It doesn't handle particularly well or bad, which means it's a good starting setup for basically everyone. I believe "neutral" would be the best term for it.
Although in Finland in particular, the car is so soft it's beyond belief. Feels more like a sponge there than a car made out of carbon fibre and metal.

I know this is a zombie thread but I wanted to toss in my 2 cents.  the Lancia S4 is way more stable than the Pug and on some tracks it is faster than the Polo.  The power to weight ratio makes for some solid acceleration and it power slides with ease.  The Polo doesn't have brakes as good as the S4 IMO.  They won't slow me down enough for certain curves.  I have to back way off the throttle early to make those turns.  With the Lancia I can sail right through and I end up with a faster time.  Other tracks the Polo is faster because the brakes don't come into play as much.

Most of the Dirt Rally Group B cars will spank the 2010's when driven correctly, at all stages, in all conditions.

I even managed to beat some of my 2010 times with the Group A Lancia.

group b audi time for first event is about a minute.all the other cars not group b are are around 1:05-9 driven fast.

id say the lancia s4 is probably the easiest fastest car to drive overall.

The car that Porky drives is always the fastest. Rule number 1 of DR.
