F1 2016 - New Features & Trailers! Formation lap, 22 player multiplayer, manual starts!

I'm speaking more for those that like the way the game handles now  and prefer a little easier more arcade settings for their games because after what I went through with F1 2013 I wouldn't want that to happen again.  I'm not saying take any of these things out as they sound good and I know a lot of people like them and will want to race with them and that's fine I may well do the same yet. I'm just talking about having options within the game to disable them should either the systems not  work or we don't want to use them.

You can skip formation lap if you don't want it. You can also opt out of manual starts too if you wish :)

Jenny's response right here elevated my heart rate more than any announcement, for 2 reasons:

1. Configurable game options allowing each player to tailor their experience = win.

2. Fast & clear answer to customer inquiry - something I'm not accustomed to seeing from CodeMasters.

Yeah me too as I remember F1 2013 having a very sim like feel with the tyres ansd such and it making things really awkward for those playing on the easier levels as there was no way of disabling or tweaking them down so we were left frustrated and angry as we had no level we could play with where we felt we could be competitive. I don't mind the game and people having a sim like feel if they want it but those of us who don't want that want options to disable it so we can still enjoy the game and play at a level we like. I'm glad Jenny answered and put my fears to rest. I didn't think CM would make the same mistake as they did with 2013 but I just wanted to hear them say it. I'm glad they did. :D

One of the beta testers uploaded a video saying your car is manual until you approach the grid slots, the game takes over and lines you up in your right grid slot.

I'm assuming this feature hasn't changed since the beta test, as I could image many issues with allowing players full control right to your slot, especially online! 

On the subject of the closed Beta, can we now lift the embargo and talk freely about what was experienced? 
As was discussed on the beta forum this week, no, you can't.

Is engine wear a thing in it .... what about mgu h and mguk and ers and other integral elements turbos anything that can fail

Few questions on these new modes 1 just how much control do we have on the formation lap 2 do we have to dedicate a button or pedal to the clutch because if its a pedal thats going to be awkward on controllers for most so kinda hoping its a button and we just release it with the right amt of revs 3 can we do test starts like in a practice session or something 4 what if you do somehow get damage on the formation lap im assuming youll be stuck eith it but what if 2 ai cars somehow collide by you making a mistake or if someone deliberately crashes into them like will they just dissapear or will we have to go round again and wait for them to be cleared or will the cars ghost when we go near them?

Don't think so. I was talking about the 8 people who went to the studio themselves.

well there's alway7s been a GP mode where you can play all the races as on season instead of going through career mode if that's what you want so I doubt there'll be any change there
Yeah I'm sure they'll be one its just I'm interested to know if there's anything new for that mode.

Well a saw a video last night and described it as the following: You use the button or paddle you change up with. So you hold that down, build the revs and when the lights go out you release the button or paddle and off you go. Then managing the revs through to T1.

Right so its a button that makes it easier then plus no dedicated button for it

All of that look awesome and I can't wait to try it. Those new additions will give so more realism to the game but the first interrogation for online leagues is;  Would you provide us a great sever system because this game will be bought and  played by millions of people.The lobby hosting system in F1 2015 was awful. 3/4 of the races had to be start with a fake safety car restart because the lobby was crashing between the qualify and the race or players were just being kicked out in the middle of a race so PLEASE,PLEASE, do something about it!

Codemasters are apparently testing the 22-player multiplayer atm and Lee Mather commented this on Twitter: 
2 races in and all spot on. We're on different lines too. Think I'm on some 1990s dial up and it's still solid

yeah usually with yearly games this is what I do as well. Although I will be getting 2016 on disk but with the number of features and stuff they've added this year this is probably the most excited I've been for the F1 games since 2010 and that game certainly delivered. So I'm hoping 2016 will as well.

The spill sounds good but if its full of bugs like the last 4 games it will be in the bargain bin at game a week after release.

Well they have had youtuber's testing and a beta test and all the bugs that were fixed in 2015 shouldn't show up again in 2016 so hopefully that's a good sign. The only problem is what if any bugs have any of the new features introduced. Hopefully not too many but we can't rule anything out right now.

Unfortunately that happens with all kinds of games CM are hardly exclusive in that. So in that we can only hope. The youtubers I think raced the AI though as I think CM gave them access to the career mode that's how we learned about some of the details about it.

I just got a couple of questions.

1. Do we have manual pit control like driving into pits and going into right pit box?

2. Is character customisation like nba or just of people to choose from?
