F1 2016 - Your Journey Begins Trailer

Recommended Posts

Guess short video with 50 seconds?

Want to watch the trailer of 4:20?
Place the 1/4 speed (no audio)

Want to watch the trailer of 1:40?
Place the 1/2 speed (audio available)

Jokes out!
I saw the video in the smallest detail,
in slow,
and I enjoyed it,
It is not surprising,
but there are a few more details,
The damage looks very similar to 2015 on the beat Renault.

Yes it's a good trailer but who cares really? We need to see some gameplay and I don't mean a hot lap around Hungary
Ok can they **** win? One second we want a trailer or something about the career mode, next minute we want a hot lap. I expect you just need to be patient and there will be one out either later today or tomorrow now!
He didn't ask for a hot lap you stupid ****!
I wasn't speaking directly to him. Just that's the post that wound me up because we ask for something get it but then it's not good enough! I'm slowly understanding to why codemasters find it so hard to make a game that everyone likes
Well it isn't good enough is it?
It is good enough.
4 weeks from release a few hot laps and 2 trailers which are basically the same. Easily pleased.
Have you even seen other games? Most games don't even have about 10 videos before release.

What follows is pure speculation, but I'm guessing that due to the nature of the no-doubt overly strict licensing agreement, marketing materials must be authorised before release.  This probably takes upwards of a month to go through the proper channels and must make life difficult for Codemaster's marketing team.  The footage we're currently seeing may be as much as two months old and represents an earlier build.  This may go some way towards explaining why some car models aren't up to date and why some new feautres are not being demonstrated.

I can't help but feel that Codies should be a touch more assertive when negotiating the license agreement.  Under the current rules and the time it takes to get marketing materials signed-off, they can't show footage of the completed build until at least two weeks after the game's released.  This may be why we get hot-laps and vague trailers every year.
