INDYCAR (Just here me out)

Recommended Posts

Yes F1 is an amazing sport, and yes it's world known, and YES it's fun to play as a video game. To be honest, I barely knew what Formula 1 was until I picked up F1 2011 by Codemasters. I fell in love with the sport and especially the games. As an American, it's a little hard to even know what F1 is. It's all NASCAR and INDYCAR. We all know the NASCAR games aren't that good really. (We'll just have to wait for NASCAR Heat Evolution). But INDYCAR doesn't even have a terrible game series. INDYCAR needs a chance. I mean the Indy 500 is debatably the greatest race of all time. If Codemasters made an INDYCAR game like their F1 games, it could bring in People around the world to enjoy INDYCAR as a sport. Sure NASCAR is pretty dumb, but INDYCAR is a legitimate sport, if not a GOOD sport! It deserves a game series just as good as the F1 series. By the way, please no British people saying INDYCAR and Americans are stupid. lol

But, but, Indycar AND Americans are stupid.
Yet not quite as stupid as someone who would post something like that.  Gosh, ain't we having fun?

I know about licenses and stuff. I'm just whining about not having an Indycar game and I think Codemasters would be the best to make it.

Buy project cars, you can race indy's in it, make sure you buy the game of the year edition, the extra DLC makes it well worth it.

I'd love an IndyCar game. With the reduced restrictions that come from IndyCar than FOM i'm sure that it would be a hit. I don't care who makes it as long as they make it a good game. Maybe add the Mazda Road To Indy as well to increase the model count and the creation of an extensive career mode when you could either drive for teams or create your own team and drive for them.

I am an American and I love F1 and really enjoy watching the races even though Mercedes has been completely dominating for years now.  I do watch Indycar  and sometimes it is great but often it is kind of bland  and some of the street courses look so low budget for a professional series. While I like F1 more  I have been following Indycar all my life I would  buy and enjoy having  a well made game representing the sport.

I don't like NASCAR at all but if that game turns out to be really good I might even get that. I don't like watching NASCAR but I  find racing games that focus on a series to be really enjoyable when well made.  There are so many games that throw a zillion cars at you to race in 3 lap races. To me that's not racing.

What, a Codemasters Indy Car game like this one, you mean? ;)

Anyway, Simraceway have the video game license these days, I believe:

They never did anything with their license except put out a DW12 car for their racing sim, which is now pretty much dead. I don't think they even have the license anymore.
