I started a whole new thread because of the AI issues. This is what Britpoint answered: 

"Yes I just tried to replicate his race and I'm happy to confirm they're much better. For example I recreated the move on the inside of Turn 14 - they did give me space, but the car I was trying to pass held on the outside and managed to keep the position into T15.

We're also checking the AI pace under the Safety Car and VSC to make sure they run at the delta pace "

I suppose that Codemasters let Tiametmarduk and aarava play the game in order to test things like this. If the tweaks for the pre-build don't go down well, then they can change it for the full game.

the AI should be more defensive when attempting to make a move on them they should attempt to block move to the side you are trying to overtake and stickicking to that direction, as in real life only one direction change is permitted. this would make battles more fun and challenging, not sure if this is something possible or way too complicated to program but this should be done only for expert, legend and ultimate difficulties.

They are . It is only in the beta build version from Tiametdaruk. Lee Mather confirmed it that it is already fixed !

Why do they insist on putting the rev and speed data directly over the wing mirror rendering it useless.

I don't know ,but I looks good when you drive from the T-Cam. From the cockpit it's not so good,but yeah.....

tbh if your using T-cam you can' t really see the mirrors anyway at least I can't. But I tend to rely on the proximity arrows as they usually tell me enough of what I need to know when racing on these games. If your racing using cockpit cam then fair enough. I race using T-cam so I don't think I'll have any problems with that HUD. but if you can probably turn it off if it really bothers you.

Stupid how it was saying its a 3 or 4 stop race it should be a 2 or 3 stopper.  Hope the AI don't only do loads of stops when the game comes out.

the guy who made the vid cant read, it was a 2 or 3 stop strategy dunno why he said 3 or 4

Yeah he got it wrong on the strategy, i guess he mis-read it as a 3 or 4 stop because the graph showed 3 sets of tyres on one and then 4 sets on the other. Obviously one set is the starting tyre and the projected strategies were 2 and 3 stop which is fair enough for a 100% race i'd say.

I was impressed with that 100% Baku race, the AI reacted well to the safety cars, pitting when they should and there was some decent racing from them(even though we know in Tia's build the AI aren't working as they should).  He also acknowledged that the Safety Car is coming out too frequently in that build and will be fixed so good news there, though to be honest i'm just happy to see that we actually get safety cars now as in previous games that had it, i saw it once...

The game is looking like a massive step up from F1 2015.

Does anyone know if you'll be able to do all the new stuff you can do in practice like tyre management and qualifying run in just a normal race weekend and not in career?

No ,you won't be able I think . Because it's not a career mode with upgrading ,testing etc.

Thought you might be able to but without the upgrading. Most of the new stuff is done to set your strategy for the race so thought you'd still be able to do it in a normal race weekend.

Been asking this question for the last 3 weeks and nobody from codemasters can be arsed answering it which is a shame because I'm sure people other than me would like to no. Not really interested in career just want to do a season with a real driver.

yeah I only see it once maybe twice in each career mode I've done on the games so seeing it more often will make things moer interesting I think. So long as it doesn't come out too often as you know it's a racing game and I buy these games to race not hide behind a safety car. So hopefully they find a good balance between the game allowing you to race a bit and calling for the safety car.
