Wrong wheel size...again

Recommended Posts

Wheel sizes are perfect and spot on, take it from someone who lives in the real life racing world. People love to put this game under a microscope. Its a damn game.

Just like that other sound thread I read the other day, some guy talking about the rev sound being off a few fractions of a second once he played it in slow motion.

Who is going to play F1 in slow motion or under a microscope? Guess what NOBODY.

PS: And even if the wheels where bigger or smaller (which they are not).... does not affect how the car handles. Its just decoration. F1 2010 had wheels looking all the same. Fingers did not even move when gear shifting. It affected nothing.

Notice, your the one who says it is a massive problem and that you have to keep looking at the steering wheel when you don't.

anyone can watch racing and see how cockpits function for the driver and its his connection with the car. The effort in getting a racing car cockpit, F1 or otherwise, seat and wheel position to the drivers liking.  Even just simply seeing how when people buy a regular car the first thing they do is jump in the drivers seat and grab the wheel to check it out at the car dealer ship. Just a basic understanding about the connection between car and driver is the cockpit of the car he is driving. For someone to try and come at me with the cockpit and wheel isnt important because your not staring at it while driving is nothing short of amazing. Amazing that someone is that far away from the feeling of driving a car in anger that the logic they have is the cockpit or the wheel doesn't matter if your not staring at it while you drive. Then you have the irony of just two threads above this one is about wanting to see more info on the wheel display and your here trolling me with power points like no one looks glances at their wheel while driving....... Then of course you have the rational thought of now we have the adjustment to make the cockpit view realistic, so yes, we might as well make that small step to care if the wheel looks two sizes to small? All those numbers on a f1 wheel drivers monitor. All those speed gauges on your regular car you look at. I look around at the interiors of the cars out today and everyone of them has somekind of speed gauge to freaking look at but then here I'm stuck with some random kid trying to make a point of drivers never look at so much as their own wheel so this one looking 2 sizes to small doesn't matter.
Amazing is the thought that people would stare at the steering wheel when they're driving a track in front if them. Are you not tired of making an idiot of yourself in front of loads of forum users?

And btw you werent being trolled, you were the only one making a tit of yourself.

what amazes me is all the comments about the issue it simply something we are trying to point out and it been since 2015 that the sizes of steering wheel specially the Sauber, Williams, Torro Rosso need's to be addressed, it in no way a deal/game breaker for me but still bugs me as it looks quite odd and stupid.

exactly, I'd probably buy the game, this is only a constructive feedback

Yes, and you have said it contructively, even though it doesn't worry me as much as it does you.

Unfortunately, Kev has done his usual of making stupid statements, starting a fight with anyone who disagrees with him, spoke to them like crap, and then cried and moaned when people give him a taste of his own medicine.

Adds nothing here whatsoever.

...looking like a retard
You need to watch what you are talking about there mate. You may feel 'big' and 'superior' posting in online forums, but try and come up with a sensible insult. The one you have used there, I can tell you now, says more about you than it does about anyone else. That's the type of word that leads to missing teeth if you are not careful who you use it around. Grow Up.

Regardless of the fact we may or may not agree on the order of importance of some things that need fixed...can you suggest please how the deaf racer on my friends list can use his ears rather than looking at the wheel?
Anyone ever suffer the sound glitch in F1 where you can hear other cars just not your own? Thats a time when the lights come in handy.

Does it really matter that much? F1 2016 is already looking like the best game so far and I'm sure a steering wheel size won't affect your gameplay whatsoever. If you nitpick every single detail then of course there is going to be differences. Be happy the game is so good and honestly a steering wheel size is not the be all and end all of the world.
Its something that we will be staring at for hours on end. We will be staring at it the whole time we are playing the game.
Ah, that's where you're going wrong. Try looking at the track ;)
we just want the game to be perfect at the end, its not nitpicking its is just things we notice that is different from the real cars. a game is perfect when even the details are smooth

It's a fair question, and the answer for now is "drive in any view other than cockpit so he can see the HUD". He may prefer not to do that, and that's also a fair response. But he'd hardly be the first person who's had to change a game setting that they'd rather not have to change, to suit their physical or environmental requirements.

Anyone trying to tell me that the human eye can only see one thing at a time and seeing that one thing requires us to look directly at it is trolling. Its to much of a  stretch to think someone believes our vision is like looking thur a small round hole and the only thing we see is what we are staring directly at.

Guys, take a breath! I'm absolutely sure, that  F1 2016 wheels are not too small! I'd say that Williams, Sauber and Toro Rosso simply designed their real life wheels too BIG! So it's up to them to patch that! ;-)

Look whos trying to be hard on a forum now. And coming from someone who goes round marking posts "off-topic". Sit down, you'll give yourself a nose bleed.

Peripheral vision is one thing, staring at a steering wheel is another. Look at the track, the wheels size in your peripheral vision won't bother you. Though I'm sure you'll find something else to moan about. How short the grass is cut? Wrong Pattern on the Kerbs?

God...the amount of little things you guys find that are wrong with the game are too damn high. And 99% of them are never noticed by a normal human being. Cameras, wheels, gloves, pants,....Its like you guys have a well known "i must dislike the Codemasters' F1 games forever" phobia.
Isn't the aim of the game to create a simulation?

First off, my comment doesnt have anything to do with that.
Second, no. The aim of the game is to create the game that suits everyone. Atleast from devs' point of view.
Which brings me to third: Go play rFactor ar AC if you want simulation because you will hardly get one in CM's F1 games.
My point is there are/will be bigger and game braking things to work on. People just have to find something to criticize even though it doesnt really matter or its nothing wrong with it and will be forgotten when bigger bugs appear later.....

I am confused. Is this thread about wheels (as in Pirelli on rims) or steering wheels. Because you guys are talking about the steering wheels of the cars but I guess OP meant the actual wheels that the car drives on.
