Wheel Display/Dashboard information too vague?

that's really annoying if we can't have more infos on the screen. I wan't to drive in cockpit view, because I want to feel like an F1 Driver. So I don't want to use a superimposed HUD like if I have some kind of sci-fi-lens in my eye. Or to put it straight forward: I don't want any game HUD cluttering my view onto the scenery in front of me (cockpit, track, sky, etc.). So I need more information on the steering wheel. Why can't codemasters not understand the importance of this?

Any chance that someone can mod this in? Putting info from the artificial game HUD onto the LCD on the steering wheel?
I'm asking for this since a long time ago but never got an answer. Can anyone from Codemasters please comment why the steering wheel LCD doesn't show the same info as the HUD? Is there a possibility to have it  in a patch for F12016?
I doubt itll happen but what I dont get is why they didnt ATLEAST put the safety car delta time on there surely someone had a mental blank when they were thinking about this, its impossible to tell how fast to go without it so you have to turn the HUD on which a lot of players want to do. @Britpoint any answer as to why this is the case?

I thought in F1 it's a delta speed that drivers have to abide to?

@SmTuNgg, time and speed are kind of interchangable in that context. Though technically time would be more correct of the two. Delta time is this context is the difference in lap time between race pace and the desired SC / VSC pace. In real F1 and in game it is referred to as the delta time.

Okay thanks!!

Are You kidding me? Display of real F1 cars is much more than codemasters i.e. Codemasters give no info about ERS, or engine rpm...
Exactly. Also, an option to manually use ERS would be nice, instead of it being automatically deployed.
ERS is deployed like 90% of the lap, that would massively hinder new players from getting up to speed as its more stuff to learn and master

I doubt 90% of the lap but i think he means the ability to over ride the system to deploy when they wanna overtake a driver, drivers in f1 do have this but few use it tbh its all automatic for fastest lap time

Simplified the ERS for gameplay purposes. I believe on the real car the driver can change deployment mode, MGU-K re-gen gain, deployment rate, adaptive limit, and deploy ramp on the fly from the steering wheel. Would be nice to be able to switch deployment modes and harness a "push to pass" if you will when we need a boost. What I'd actually like to see is a brake peak bias setting with ramp. Extract even more performance from heavy braking or trail braking events.

It would be great when we can see how much ERS we have.
