ERS

Will we ever be able to manually deploy ERS instead of it being an automatic process done by the game?

Read this article http://en.f1i.com/magazine/52167-how-does-ers-deployment-work.html

ERS deployment is decided before the race, the driver doesn't have control of it as they did with the KERS button.

"Depending on his needs, the driver can also adapt electric deployment himself and unleash more power in a specific sector of the circuit." That's what I mean.- This is in the article.

That may not really be a manual deploy as such but rather a remapping of when or which part of a sector to use it, still not like a push to pass. The teams still won't let me ride in one of their cars so I can't check it out :) When all is said and done never really like KERS and to a lesser extent ERS, while the technology is good would rather complete a pass on driver ability rather that tech assisted. But I am just old school I guess.

I would be happier with the ability to fine adjust brake bias on the fly (more than the front, neutral, rear) option now. Like you see Rosberg do a lot on the T-cam shot.

This article about the Ferrari SF15-T in Assetto Corsa is pretty informative:

They do provide a "max power" button (which maps to the KERS button on the controller), which switches to specific MGK-U and MGK-H settings while it is being pressed. I guess that's what people are really asking for.

That definitely appears to be in the game, from the YouTube videos we've seen so far.

yes informative but very involved, Ctl +1 to do this CTL +2 to do that, when it got to the standing on my head part I stopped reading :)

You just Need 7 (seven) Buttons on your Wheel / buttonbox to map all the commands. 2 of them (engine braking) don't Need to be adjusted every time you adjust your deployment or recovery mode.
OK, with the Codemasters PS4 / X-Box style controlls we only have the 4-way cross to controll brake-balance, differential-settings, tyre-choices, maybe ers-mapping even with a Wheel on the PC (head-desk!!)
This could be going to be a bit complicated, I think. Especially with the Codemaster-ish Default button-mappings shown on some wheels in recent editions .....

Right... that's why we'd probably only want the 'max power' button in F1, could just be mapped to the old KERS button :)
