@Joethe155 from what I understand, (I didn't beta test so this is from YouTuber's), I think it means your car is more sensitive to damage, so a slight touch on the wall could take off your wheel, rather than in F1 2015 where you could slam into a wall and knock your front wing.

Yea, it's now much easier to break a front wing, sometimes just by making slight contact with a wall or a car can take an N plate because now there's a state of damage where you only lose an N plate where as on F1 2015 it was hard to break your front wing because you had to hit it hard because it was missing that state of damage. I found it really easy to lose a wheel too.

I tested running tyres on the wet parts of the track and can confirm tyres did cool down.

Looking forward to the game.  Can I ask if  a drying line appears as the track drys and if there is more grip on the line. What about can you cool your intermediate tyres by running off the dry line. Thanks

The info about the track limits is incorrect in this thread. Not saying it's better or worse, only that the statement was wrong.
In what way is the statement incorrect?

I wanted to ask about the "customize weather" in the menu when you are about to start a race. I saw it on the videos that youtubers did and nobody didnt click it so i wonder what it does

It allows you to decide how the weather changes over the course of practice, qualifying and the race. You get a number of 'slots' for each session that you can fill with different weather conditions, from 1 slot for short sessions up to 4 slots for 1hr practice / 100% races. Each slot can be set to any of the predefined weather conditions, including 'dynamic'.

Be aware that feature is only available outside of career mode. During career you are on official session times and dynamic weather.

Did anyone try going from dry to heavy rain? Does it go through a period of light rain still or do the heavens just open up?
Any preview testers reading it would be interesting to see a dry - heavy - dry - heavy setup to see how conditions change and ai cope

I didn't test it but I believe it goes strait to heavy rain and maybe just for about a minute it's lighter I'm not sure though, sorry

I've read a lot regarding the AI "leaving the door open on the inside of corners" and that its getting sorted for the game. I hope that this isn't going to be a case of they just drive into you when you're on the inside, because if this is the case then we will be back to square one.

Yes, I did, and it did indeed go through a period of light rain, at least when I tried it.

Once you start the session, you can then see the full weather forecast, which is presented as a similar list of 'slots', but with more of them than you got to edit. Those additional slots are filled with the intermediate weather conditions. I don't know if there's any randomness to those, or if they're always the natural 'in-between' states.

How are the weather transitions?  Before it would be raining for awhile before you came in, and then it seemed you could switch back onto slicks when it was still drizzling.
I had a wet to dry race and pitted when I thought it was dry enough, what I was used to in last years game. Big mistake. Spun coming on of the pits and lost all temperature and grip. Didn't last the lap. You can't drive on slicks until it really is slick time.
Some of my mates avoid to use intermediate, passing from wet to dry and winning time because of the one less pitstop in F1 2015. That was so disappointed...

Hello! I was wondering if we are given 5 power units to use in one season of career mode as in previous games. Is this feature of changing power units and engines wearing down implemented?

So what to you want them to do then? Those are the only 2 options available in this scenario.

Cool. Sounds like there are actually twice as many slots and it auto assigns transitions periods.be interesting to see if we can mod that :-)

hope there is a way in between for that. i noticed it a lot when i saw a video of tiametmarduk. most of the time he went inside and the ai just let it wide open to pass. they need to fix that for sure, don't make it impossible to pass but drivers don't let other drivers pass that easily.

Does anyone know if the netcode has been fixed from 2015, or if it's still an offline-only game this year?

We didn't get to test this however you can have engine blow outs and they would be useless if we didn't have a limited amount in career like in real life so I expect this will happen in the full game but don't quote me on that  ;)

Hey beta users,

was it possible to play long qualification with Q1 Q2 Q3?

Here my question:

Does the OSD show the gap to P10 in Q2? Or just to P1 like F1 2015?

That's one of the requirements for me to buy the game :-)

Sorry didn't check that as I only did long qualifying once or twice but I think it's the same as 2015.

I hope so!!!, because in multiplayer mode, 22 drivers in Monaco trying to do a good lap, will be almost impossible... :D
