Bahrain 15 vs 16

Recommended Posts

What happened to the great look of the 2015 version of bahrain, the reflections on the tarmac which i loved so much ...and tire graphics at night races and at sunset races...it's like they glowing, like there is some invisible light source traveling with the car just above the tires...bahrain now look more like in 2014 version of the game...2015 was perfect imo.

Probably a side-effect of the time of day feature... they could probably tweak the lighting for each track more in 2015, whereas now they've built a lighting system that has to work the same on every track.

Fair enough, but the tires...its seems like they are not affected by the lighning system...always the same reflection (golw) no matter where the sun is.

Did anyone in the beta notice difference in temperature when switching race start times. If you race Bahrain at midday is tyre overheating much more of an issue than a night race for example?

Hopefully the version that Codemasters has released to the various media outlets for demo purposes is not the polished, final version, wherein all visual fidelity should be up to par - I'm hoping !!!

Forgot to say, they did also change the tyre texture/colour slightly for the beta, as people were complaining it looked too black... so what you're seeing in the preview builds on YouTube aren't necessarily what will be in the final game.

Codemasters went from being at the front in terms of graphics with F1 2010 to the back of the field compared the competition.

I can only hope that with the acquisition of Evolution Studios (Driveclub), some of their graphics knowhow for PS4 gets infused into the F1 games from Codemasters.
