Imo in ultimate level, Codemasters should disable all assist, flashback and only let play it with a wheel, or has two different ultimates: pad & wheel, but both without any assist, even only with the inside view.

Dumbest idea I've ever heard. Glad you don't work for them lol

This is already available with Pro Career.

had the game for 2 days now and so far I'm loving it.........I drive with a wheel and no assists so started career on hard level to get an idea of the AI difficulty level with the plan to move up/down as required. so far ive done 2x career races both at 50%. did Bahrain last night and got pole in the Renault so maybe need to turn the difficulty up, however I carried on and had the most enjoyable race in a long time. was battling with ai, changing pit strategy on the fly, safety car, dealing with complacency! (btw, don't get grass on your tyres.....my word, you are slippy back on the track until debris removed!). overall, I'm over the moon with this game.....and am really pleased that I haven't personally seen or read about any game breaking bugs. I'm sure tomorrow though when the game is out on general release that the haters will be here in force....

What are your thoughts on the force feedback with the T300? I sincerely hope it's not ultra loose again... (*cough* Dirt Rally *cough*)

Pole in a Renault? You need to move up!

I didn't move up as I finished 12th in Australia. would appear that maybe the ai are somewhat slower in Bahrain after reading others comments. but yes, I will move the difficulty up and see what happens

It's ok. The settings out of the box feel decent enough for once. I feel like it sometimes drags me around a bit when I'm on the kerbs - not very subtle feedback there.

Its hard to comment as it doesn't feel particularly brilliant nor obviously rubbish. It's got a good weight to it and you get a decent sense of when the car is breaking traction.

@JupiterJoe From my first experience with the game the AI are actually quite ballsy, I've driven wheel to wheel through entire sectors without them backing off.

No assists and legend AI. I have to say it depends on the track a bit, the AI were racing absolutely brilliant around Brazil for example, some other tracks they seemed to back off a bit sometimes, but it's still a huge improvement over 15 in those cases, I think it'll only get better once you start to know the AI. Really unpredictable moves can always cause them scare off a bit, but I found that as long as you drive sensibly and give them a bit of space they're very committed in general, both attacking and defending.

fix it codies!
It's quite disappointing if the AI are still so slow around Monaco. It was by far the most irritating track on F1 2015 because you could get pole even if you were seconds away on other circuits.

There's nothing to fix. Try it on Ultimate.
...if you can't beat them on other tracks (so easy), than this isn't an option as the balance is not right.
In consequence AI lap times for the track (here Monaco) has to be adjusted (if there is really any difference).
So to choose another level do not solve the problem for the career mode...

Did you simulate the ai Times using fast forward in quali? The ai are way off the pace if you do this. Well I don't have 2016 but every game so far this has been the case
