The slipstream effect

Recommended Posts

In F1 2015, the slipstream effect was broken, to the point where hamilton and rosberg would just overtake and re-overtake each other for the whole race, while the next tier of cars would just stay together until the pitstops possibly seperated them a little bit. not very realistic IMO. i was wondering if anything's changed this year ?

In the beta the slipstream was too over powered so I think for the full game it should be fixed, because we told to developers that it needs to be fixed

Perhaps they should have toned it down for players but not for the AI.  Maybe the AI are programmed to stay in the slipstream, but now, thanks to you Beta testers, they sit there waiting for a slipstream that never comes.  Hence the 'bailing out' of passes we're seeing.

Ah so this is the root of it. One guy with English as a third or fourth language says 'we' asked the devs to change the slipstream as it was OP. Not accurate. Out of 16 posts 14 found it OP. Out of 300 total users.

RL drivers cede position and bail out of passes all the time. Its not like the AI can't pull off passes...
