how do u change helmet etc after season starts?

Does anybody have an update to the helmet situation? Is it possible to change your helmet between seasons?

If not, the helmet editor is completely pointless. You pick your helmet and are able to use just that one helmet from that moment; offline and online. Only way to update it would be to start a whole new career.

I thought that was the point they wanted to make? I watched a dev talk about it months ago and he was saying you pick a helmet to start your career. He said you would use that helmet throughout your career because it means a lot to the racer...or something along that suit. After that I assumed you picked your helmet for good.

That's really stupid if it is meant to be like that. You don't see drivers IRL using the same helmet year after year and this should be the case in Career as well. There should be an option to change your helmet at least between seasons and if you don't like to change, you stick with what you got.

I get the people wanting to change  between seasons, but realistically the ones asking about between sessions drivers also have to stick to one helmet for the season.

The rule is over by this year Monaco GP I think. Even if it's not over drivers have always had the chance to change the colors. They only need to keep the same design.

Wish more had been made out of that as I don't remember it!

Hope we can get some response from Codemasters. Even an option to change once a season would be great.

It does seem that you can't change your helmet though which would be a bit ridiculous.

in my options not sure if tied to 144hz i cant access changing difficulty.the screen is blank but i can press enter to the next screen.

Overall the whole game is amazing, well done codi. 
Re. Helmets, if i'm being picky i would have liked to have seen some extras with the design. Compared to real drivers helmets mine looks like something from the early 80's. It's a simple classic shape and lacks sponsors. 
I would have loved it if there was a way that your own choice of helmet included the same sponsors your chosen team had and if you could choose to have particular vents/aero flaps on your design as well

Come on codi, you should be able to edit you helmet anytime, anywhere. You should be able to open it up in paint shop pro and design it anyway you want, not just the templates you offer. Helmets look bland without sponsors as well. I've have my own helmet design for over 25 years and can't wear it in one of the best f1 games to date. Shame.

I mean i would change it for each race, perhaps like coutries flag colours, this would be very cool for league racing also

nope =/ cant do it in between seasons, and they didnt do it because of the rules, because they also had the radio ban and they allowed that

I am a big f1 and Cody f1 games fan, I've bought all of the f1 games made by Cody (except for 2015 of course) but after purchased and played 2016 for a few days, I feel like I love it so much that I have to register and leave a praise for Cody. The graphics, adjustable camera angle, 10 season career, choosing number on the car, contract discussion and on and on. So well done!!! 
This game is within the grasp of being the most perfect f1 game ever(considering the limitation from fom) if the helmet and be adjusted or even changed every season in the career mode and a little bigger font in the game.

You can also go back to the main menu and hit pause when it shows the championship standings and stuff and it will load the options.

You don't change helmet or number on the laptop but you do it in the main menu and press X or Square and it'll give you the option to choose drivers click your career mode driver and edit information like helmet and number without having to restart
