You can't appearently. Also you can't adjust any of the settings like AI difficulty. Sure is nice to do 3 seasons or more and get into a better team or just get better at driving and then having to start over because the AI difficulty is then too easy.

You can change AI difficulty by leaing career and going to Settings in the Main Menu. That will then apply to Career next time you go into it.

It does seem that you can't change your helmet though which would be a bit ridiculous.

You can change the AI difficulty before every race weekend in career it comes up with a menu

You should be able to change most settings from the career mode hub. Don't know if this apply's to F1 2016, but in previous games if you scrolled to the right past the news clippings and standings you would find the settings where you could change your assists, AI difficulty etc etc.

I don't know for certain but seeing as that option is in 2015 I assume so but I'll obviously be checking everything over once I start my own career mode. Although I'll be doing a championship season first which I'll start likely at some stage tomorrow. I'll probably be doing a few 3 lap races on it tonight when it unlocks and having a little look at the time of day editor. But that'll likely be as far as I go tonight on the game. But that's only because I don't want to go to bed tonight without having at least a little look at the game.

You can't change them after you start career but you can do custom weekend settings in career. I did 25% races and full quali and three 25min practice sessions. The only way to get the full 90min-90min-60min practice sessions in career is to do 100% races but that's just because of the new R&D I assume.

In previous games you could change the settings mid-season/career, now you CANNOT. You can reach the menu where all the settings are through the "pause/options"-button but the settings are all grey and you can't access them, only view.

I was wrong! Forget everything I just said!

You CAN change nearly everything in BETWEEN race weekends.

I was only in the first weekend in career, now that I went to Bahrain the options just appeared while loading.

You can't change mid-weekend though but that's OK since the AI levels are now the same in quali and race.

EDIT: Bahrain, not Malaysia...

That's actually pretty obvious because it worked exactly like that on F1 2015 as well

I found it silly that I couldn't change my helmet design once the season had started!

My OCD has kicked in and I've now restarted 5 times to tweak the design slightly! Still not sure I'm happy!

Spent more time doing this than actually driving last night. They really need to add this option to the laptop menu somewhere.

I haven't tested this so I can't be sure but perhaps they followed the rules of F1 and you can only change your helmet at the end/start of each season. The drivers are no longer allowed to change multiple times a season? Just a guess.

You can edit the colors of any helmet after selecting it, except for the pre-order bonus helmets which can't be customized, maybe you picked one of those? 

@Lozzy The game really needs an option to change your helmet after starting career. `I wanted to dive in quickly so I didn't pay much attention to my initial helmet choice, but I've already done two complete GP weekends and now I can't use a helmet I like unless I'd restart the whole thing.. Will I be stuck with the same helmet throughout the entire 10 seasons?

It really sucks if you can't change your helmet at all. I can understand that you couldn't change it after every race but at least between seasons it should be possible. I want my helmet to match the colors of the car I'm racing and now it's impossible?

(I don't have my copy yet so if it is possible to change your helmet during seasons, I can live with the current system.)

I'm not sure if anyone's finished a season yet, so can't be sure, but for now it looks like we won't be able to change it. Would be great if it there'd just be a select/change helmet option in the settings, similar to previous games where you could change it in 'My F1'. 

Especially when the leagues start, I'd want my helmet to match the car I'm driving there, without having to restart my career. I feel it would really be a waste of the helmet editor if we could only use it once while there's so many possibilities this time.
