[F1 2016] Disable MFD Icons in Cockpit View

Recommended Posts

Like the title says. Is it possible to disable the MFD Icons in Cockpit View without loosing it's function?
In F1 2015 you could disable those icons without loosing it's function but in 2016 i'm missing that feature.  :(
Having them sit in the bottom right corner is very distracting to me.
I'd like to drive in Cockpit view without the Hud except the Laptime and current Lap.
The MFD itself is to complicated and clumsy to navigate having to press a button then using different keys to navigate through it.
The Text is also way to small.
This thing is very hard to read and to use while driving at the same time.
I really liked the old system better. it was way easier to use and read.

This **** new MFD ruined me more than one race.
Look straight ahead, wanna know something e. g. Tyre Temps, look to the lower right, navigate to the corresponding Screen, look straight ahead again, oh, ****, Corner, brake, to late, overshoot, place lost.
And this is getting worse when you wanna Change a value.

Why not put all the Infos from the "external" MFD to the stering Wheel dispplay as Long as you are driving in Cockpit view? All the other arcade-views might stick tho the external MFD.

Then we Need one button to get to next page, one button to go to previous page.
Use the D-Pad for navigating and changing values.

Voila, good to go ......

Ah, no wait. We cannot do this because of the console-guys with their Controllers, because we didn't even have a button on the pad left for a pit-limiter!! But we might have a look, maybe next year.

That's why you look at the MFD on straights.

For sure do I look at the MFD on straights!
But sometimes there arent straights Long enough e. g. Monaco. Cruising with 250km/h (~155mph) is 69,4m/s. With 300 km/h you travel 83 1/3 m in one second.

And still I have to move my Focus to the lower right Corner (aprox 25cm) instead of just lower my sight to the steering Wheel (aprox 5cm).

This is where the old mfd was way better.  It's positioning in the middle left and middle right of the screen allowed you to just glance at it with you're peripheral vision. Because there where 2 seperate menus, one for changing values and one for pure information displayed with a relatively big font it was intuitively usable. You could also change values with just the w,a,s,d keys way faster without having to look at tiny text and menus.
For the information part of the menu you had 1! button to scroll through the Menu which presented the information relatively big, so you could just glance at it and still having the information you want.
The new mfd was done with good intentions, but was executed very badly.
You coul'd just say, "Don't fix it, when it's not broken"

But back to topic. Is there a way to disable those icons without loosing it's function? Because i haven't found an option for it.  :'(
