Manual starts are too easy?

Title really says it all. I think that I haven't seen a player lose a position in the start. I think is too easy to get a great start (compared to the AI) at the moment. There were talks in the beta test face that the "optimal rev window" would possibly get smaller but I haven't noticed any difference between now and then.
