To those well into your careers

Recommended Posts

A couple questions: 1) How are the points races shaking out? Is Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes destroying everyone in every career mode out there or have any of you experienced some sort of deviance from real life? I suppose this goes for further down the table as well. Anybody enjoying surprises in the tables? 2) Does it seem like the bars representing team performance are changing as the season and your career move along? Not just your own, but are AI hopping eachother as well? I'm hoping to ease the pain of trying to edit AI files for the sake of some variation throughout my own career mode experience.

That's good to hear. Have there been mechanical issues with the Merc's or has Kimi just been outracing them?

Daniel Ricciardo is first in my career mode. Ferrari has overtaken Mercedes. Also Manor have overtaken Haas and Sauber. My career mode is turning out to be so good! I'm at round 8: Baku right now.

I'm at Baku and the two mercy are leading the table, but the top r cars are all within 16 points of each other as the mercs have had a lot of issues but have won the ones where they haven't. Torro Rosso have overtaken Williams in terms of technical ability, but are still well below them in the construcors championship. It keeps things slightly more exciting because it's more difficult to predict

I'm at Singapore and Kimi, Vettel and Rosberg are tied at the top, Ferrari have overtaken the mercs and Force India have slid below Mnoor but are above Sauber, who are rock bottom.

At Monaco, Rosberg, Vettel, Hamilton is my top 3. Haas have moved above McLaren. Toro Rosso have jumped Williams.

Hamilton won the first 2 races of the season. I won the 3rd myself.
Bottas is definitely the dissapointment of the season so far, still having not scored any points.
The surprise of the season so far has to be Kvyat, with a p3 in Australia and a p4 in Bahrain.

So far, Williams have jumped Red Bull in the 'performance bars thingy'
McLaren has overtaken Force India
And Renault has made a huge leap forward, coming almost tied with Haas

At Silverstone. Rosberg bottling a lead after a poor race in Baku and dropping points to Hamilton. Both running away with title. Toro Rosso 4th and Sauber 6th with 22 points. (All from me from a fortunate 2nd at Baku and 8th at Russia.)  Force India 7th. Then Haas, Mclaren, Manor then Renault. Renault have upgraded their car for Silverstone so Manor and Haas are bottom 2.

Haven't got far at all.
Just qualified on short qualifying 2nd in a Manor at Bahrian ! Shocked to say the least.
Managed to qualify and finish 16 at Melbourne, Kimi winning. First 5 rows of the front starting positions were made up of team mates from the same manufacturer lined up next to each other.

On PS4 with drivers on medium, no map, brakes on low, TC on medium.

Without flashbacks this would've been back to the shop by lunchtime today ! lol.

Mercedes winning every race upto and including Spain for me. Mclaren have improved the most since I started, constantly in the points now it seems.

Kimi and me keep crashing if we ever get close, 3 times this year!

Halfway through my second season, Lewis Beat Rosberg to 2016 title, with Riciardo close behind, and i'm currently leading the second season with Red Bull. In terms of teams, first season saw Toro Rosso jump all teams but Red bull and Mercedes (this is mainly because I drove for them), Red Bull and Mercs are tied, Ferrari 4th, Renault 5th, Mclaren 6th, Manor 7th, Force India 8th, Sauber 9, Williams 10th and Haas 11th. (This was not how the constructors championship ended).

I race full weekends, legend with no assists wheel, just if anybody wanted to know.

In my career Ferrari is making it hard for Mercedes and Rosberg is outperforming Hamilton just like it was in the beginning of the real season. I arrived in Spain now

Did you get the game early? There's no way you're in S2 if you do 100% races since release day

I was just thinking this myself I'm only at race 4 on 100% and it takes hours per race weekend so unless sitting there all day playing doing nothing else since release no way can you be in a second season already

By Halfway through season two I mean Spain, so sorry for the over exaggerated response, picked my game up midnight, and played all through the day non stop, finished about 12:00am, so a full 24hrs of playing the game, which included 4 DNF's. Then finished season one the next day, and got to Spain this morning. Its actually not that hard when you have nothing to do for an entire weekend.

Body is 16 characters too short.

Give the man a medal. haha Glad to see that it's not just a foregone conclusion that career mode will be *too* authentic. The narrative that I--the player--am the only viable combatant to the Silver Arrow Empire really wore thin during F1 13/14. And it looks like modding the AI this year will be more difficult than winning a championship in a Manor, so I'd like to avoid it altogether. Looking further into a career, I hope that it'll be possible to see an AI team actually win a constructors championship and it not be a prerequisite that an AI driver drive for the big 3 to at least "compete" for a driver title.

Wow, what a change in just a season!! Imagine what it'll be like after 10!
I was going to ask if the performances after big team order changes actually reflect the ladder or are they basically how they were at the start of the season?!
