PC: No driving line or rubbering in of the track appearing in dry conditions

Recommended Posts

I have done two 100% races and no visible darkening of the track to show the racing line has appeared. Even F1 2010 had this feature but i've not noticed it in recent titles. Should the driving line not gradually appear over the course of an entire weekend ? green track during practice and then rubbering in between then and the end of the race with the racing line become most visible during the race. This is how i would expect it to work but im guessing it's on a per session basis which is ok... apart from the fact it's not visible !

PC, Nvidia 1080, Latest drivers, all graphics settings maxed out.

why would the driving line get lighter as you lay more rubber down ?

that was back in the day when tires didn't put so much marbels, now the tracks gains so much marbels it makes off line get darker and darker as the race goes on

Not in braking zones. Mostly the racing line changes colour slightly from the track colour and yes, the marbles off line can be darker than the racing line but in braking zones more rubber is laid down. This would be a really good feature so the laptimes from FP1 to Qualy would get quicker unless it rains. Pretty sure laptimes on this game are fuel based only.

That's the reason you see marbels off line in the picture above that is a braking zone. Because it isnt going into the track, its being rolled up in balls and thrown off line. Allthough I have noticed you still get blacking if a braking zone is bumpy you will see thin lines of rubber were those bumps are going across the track from side to side. The tires grain into marbels now instead of into the track. You can blame herman tilke and these huge run off areas for Pirelli having to make tires that grain them selfs instead of embed into the track.
