Career mode crashes ps4

The game crashes randomly during 1st race on career. Most recently it crashed when trying to do a mid session save. The save file is now corrupt and all previous progress lost. This is the third crash and I still haven't gotten past practice 1!

Steps to reproduce
Career mode > Renault > Race 1 Melbourne > practice 1 > start and complete the 3 tasks by choosing flying lap and return to pit when complete > mid session save.
