Hardware settings

Hey guys, 

I have a problem. Anytime I loaded the game I ralised that the graphical settings were reseting after I restartet the game. So I found out that the hardware settings are saved in a .xml file in your documents. 
Thats were I found out what the problem was. There is no hardware settings file. Can anybody help me because I don't want to reinstall the game. Even if i did that I don't think it would help because the game isn't installed in C.

We are looking into an issue where the save file isn't being created if the PC username contains any special characters or spaces in it.

Thank you for the anwser. Thats the case with my name because it contains a Ö.
