AI on straights need to be slowed down

Recommended Posts

I don't think it's necessarily a bug or anything like that, but it certainly seems like the AI are constantly running in 'Rich' engine mode. Would be nice to see some more variety from the AI behaviour in this aspect.

I think it's fine. When I'm behind i'm faster, when they're behind they're faster. That's DRS and F1 for you. I'd like to see it gone but that is an whole other debate.

They dont need to change this. Its good how it is now, maybe your traction is not good, maybe your driving with more downforce.
could be a lot of thing but the ai are good on the straight. Sorry to say but maybe wonder how your driving to the straight is not right.

Ai speed on straights seems fine on PS4. Did Sochi with 5-4 wings and kept up except when they had drs

LMFAO I've figured it out, I noticed the green accelerator bar wasn't up to the top so I changed the button from R2 to R1 and bam! I guess my R2 button is a bit dodgy

Its called slipstream and it works just fine. I got no problem on it. 2015 game AI did always go past you but here they lurking they hatin

It's very simple, if the AI is to fast on straights then your wings setup is wrong. Lower your wings and see what happens. I had no troubles defending miself with renault in montreal and baku on the straights against Hamilton and Rosberg on expert

Go into advanced wheel settings and adjust throttle saturation. It'll change the amount of input required to register as full throttle. Seems to be a common issue particularly on the ps4.

I doubt I would have never known that. Thanks for the tip

It's weird to have a Red Bull out dragging a Manor (on Expert) - no slipstream or DRS, and I know I'm on rich fuel (as the manor). I know the Manor is less aero efficent but we've seen on the track that Manors are very quick in a straight line.

It's not that I can't slipstream or use DRS to get past other cars, just though it was odd that a reno powered car had more in a straight line.
