I got put up against Verstappen after beating Sainz as my team mate in Toro Rosso. I'm finding that quite difficult, yours is a much tougher one though!

Yeah, i got Kimi as rival after beating Magnussen. I thought exactly the same - how the f*** should i beat him??? Well, i did it! But i had lot of luck. Nearly every qualifying in rain where i beaten him easily and he retired in Sochi. Before monaco we had a draw with only two points left to beat each other. And again rainy qualifying, i'm on pole and finished 3rd with Kimi behind me.

I play in hard with almost all assists (I can't play without traction control, at least until I get better or if I get a wheel).

They should really make it so that your rival is from the team who's directly above you in the R&D progress.

Well my friend, you can play without traction control. Everyone can.
You will never learn if you don't force yourself to drive without it.
3 years ago i drove with all assists on, and on legend.
One day i just had enough. I envied Limitless and all the other guys who were incredibly fast without assists.

From one day to another i turned all that shit off. It took me a lot of days and a lot of frustration, but once i got through it, i was already a much better driver. My skills in computer games without assists has made me a better racing driver IRL as well, so try it out! Force  yourself to be better.

When learning to drive without, it is key to drive very slowly at first. It's better to take a corner slow, and learn, than to hit the run-off and crash, and have to reset the lap.
If you take a corner slow, you think "Okay, next lap i'll push 3-5% more in this corner. If it works, i'll continue to add some push every lap. If it fails, i now know my limit in this corner".
If you start too fast and just run off at every corner, you will never know how much you pushed too far, and your "data" is useless.
Be gentle with ALL inputs, and you'll quickly get better.

If you want you can keep the lines on, so have some brake references (not everyone has the time to learn brake points on all circuits).
