Without driving an f1 car how do you know what is or isn't realistic? Not being sarcastic, genuine question

Not too far off I think. In-game, more of the bottom of the wheel is shown. The picture I took didn't get it though. I guess it was just max horizontal, min angle, and a dab of vertical. Probably would have done more horizontal if it would let me.

I leave everything at 0 except FOV -0.65, offset vertical -0.45 and mirror angle -0.25.  Ive been experimenting with this and so far this is the best I've come up with.  The FOV setting is important if you want that "realistic" view and feel.  You can see the effect of FOV in Stevomock's screenshot above. In the real picture look at how everything outside of the car looks much closer compared to the in game shot.

Do these settings work for all cars or just one in particular? I find the settings I use on a mclaren look awful on most other cars.

I have to use different settings for the McLaren. My McLaren settings and force india car just don't work.

This setting is for Sauber. The McLaren looks great with these setting also. The only thing I adjust when I switch teams is offset vertical because the dash heights are a bit different for each car.

To be honest I think the angle should be 0,0 or close to it.

The eye of the driver is just looking over his sheep and car...most of the time he isn't able to see parts of the front of the car.

An angle would suggest that there heads would be turned a up or down while.driving. I don't think that's the case. That's why I use zero angle.

just his head being thrown back and forth from throttle and braking means the angle is never 0
