Does Track Acclimatization tests make you a better driver?

Recommended Posts

So, I'm not gonna lie but I am not that great at F1 racing. I find the first sector of Japan immensely hard, as well as Belgium sector 2. I plan to start my career mode tomorrow, and I will do the practice sessions. However, I also want to improve my skills in racing. Will the track acclimatization tests do this for me? Thanks.

The tests will introduce you to the "racing line" (braking point, turn in, apex, track out) but not much else. There is more than one line through a corner and a lot more to racecraft than any test could ask of you. As a start point though it serves its purpose.

The track acclimatization programme is to give newer drivers (or ones that struggle at certain areas) a good idea of how to take a corner/sector. I would say it's only useful in the first season and as long as you get a purple perfect score I don't think it can improve your skill, but your speed will increase with  your R&D of course. I think time trial is the best way to learn tracks and youtubers like TRL Limitless and TRL Martin are very helpful at learning how to master the tracks (imo).
