How to play without Traction Control

Recommended Posts

Hello.
I play F1 2016 in PS4 with a pad. I haven't played F1 since 2012, so I'm not so good playing. I started playing with almost all assists on, because I couldn't play without Traction Control, I didn't understand what I had to do.
Now, I've seen a few gameplays, and I saw that they don't accelerate so quickly. Now, I started trying to play without TC, and I can do it a little better than I did when I started to play, but I can't take high speed corners well, and sometimes I can't do the corner exit well and I spin.
Could someone give me tips to play without it, how to take corners, accelerate, etc?
Greets.

I know it's not a helpful answer, but the Xbox one pads with the trigger feedback make it SO much easier to do since it buzzes when you're about to break traction. Only solution I would say is start super duper cautious and slowly build up once you get a better feel. And maybe modify the setup for higher downforce and move the ballast forward for a more understeery setup so you won't lose the rear as easily.

Thank you, I'll try it.

Get a wheel and pedals, solved................
Well, actually I'm getting wheel and pedals, but I think it's hard with it too, or it's easier?

Its just as tricky with a wheel...
Its all about throttle control get that down an ur sorted take it easy at first learn the tracks
Find out were it spins you and apply less throttle next time be gradual on your acc dont just floor it.
Also a good setup will reduce traction slip but thats another story...

I'd be screwed without the trigger feedback on Xbox One, I didn't even know the PS4 controllers don't have this.

I drive with a wheel and no assists. No traction control is difficult to get but you can exit turns much quicker if you get it right. First thing. I would say is play with manual transmission, then start by taking some turns in a higher gear (if you normally took a turn in 3rd gear, try taking it in 4th) and short shift on your exits if you start to get wheel spin.
