PC Patch Notes - 02/09/2016

@jennyannem Nothing in there about female avatars? I would just like to know either way, so I can start my career instead of the championship season, or wait till they are patched in.....maybe?

And we still don't get an option to change our helmet after 1 season of career mode?
Please, Codies. Help us noobs who picked a helmet way too quickly out!

Unfortunately I don't think this could be done in a patch I'm afraid it needs to be intergrated into the game from the start I think.

How do you know its not fixed ?

Would this not be covered in

·         Various other bug and graphical fixes.

Because I still get freezes???!!!!!!!!

Well, I had stutters like crazy when close to cars before patch... haven´t had time to test it out after this patch was released

I have a question to @Britpoint @jennyannem @Lozzy and at @Hoo! If the sc comes in This lap ( as well for online and offline) the leader should have the control of the car! If i want to Go hard on the throttle, the computer automaticly slow me down because the sc is not in the pits! This should be fixed so that the leader has full control because otherwise its not Fun anymore! Thanks for listening

In next patch there should be an option of return to garage in menu in multiplayer quali because it is in career so why shouldn't it be in multiplayer, specially because it was in F1 2015.

In the game, as in real life, no two crashes are the same and the appearance of a safety car depends on several factors -- amount of debris on the track, how easy the car is to remove, whether it's in a dangerous position, etc. In the game, rather than try to assess all these factors for each crash (which would be difficult because they're somewhat subjective, and a bit pointless as any stranded cars just get vaporised anyway), they do it by making the SC appearance somewhat random instead.

That's not how it works. While in real life you obviously do have control of your car, you still need to wait for a set amount of time before you can go hard on the throttle, the Safety Car needs to be in the pits.

Look at for example one of the Baku GP2 races, there was a SC in that race and at the restart he barely made it into the pits.

The new patch looks good but I have to ask @Britpoint @Hoo will we be able scroll through a list of open lobbies on the xbox one like the others guy's can on Playstation and PC?

Ok. A Big Patch. Thanks Codies.
Unfortunately the Audio still crackles slightly at a sampling rate higher than 48kHz.
At least the Sound isn't sped up anymore.

No, it's not a session list. That requires a huge amount of background infrastructure which we don't have (and the other platforms provide). What we have got is a custom matchmaking system - so if you want to find a certain kind of lobby you can search for it and it'll try and find you the best match.

Why are people so happy for a patch that fixes things that shouldn't have even been problems in the first place? This is a £40 game and it releases with all these bugs that are fixed just two weeks after...

That seems to be gone, nut now I get stutter in high speed, like on 8th gear.

Right I see. thanks for replying :) This custom matchmaking system is their any chance if I select for example a 25% race distance or above could we have short qually for people interested in building setups on the game? Is it based on race distance only or all settings you choose from such as traction ABS etc. If that's the case would it seperate player's even more meaning less players to fill lobbies if I get to choose what assists to use? @Britpoint

I don't have all the answers to that, but its designed not to separate players. So it'll search for something that matches your parameters exactly but if it can't find anything suitable it'll expand those parameters and try again.

I do hope the issue I've seen loads of with AI cars getting stuck behind other AI cars that are running slowly due to problems has been fixed. I've seen as many as 12 cars all running round stuck behind a car in my game.
