PC Patch Notes - 02/09/2016

This patch looks great, best thing for me is the option to not change the front wing at a pit stop. Also like the remaining fuel being added next to fuel mixture. Hopefully the AI improvements really work. Looking forward to the Xbox release of the patch. Hopefully the next patch will feature the car updates.

As far as I can tell the AI is way more competitive now. I really had a hard time to overtake BOT and MAS and keeping VET behind me @ Shanghai International Circuit. Driving the McLaren. Had a battles with VET from T1 to T4, he passed me, I contered in T6 and on the loooong backstaight he nearly caught me again. Defended the inside, was at T15 in front again. After T16 it started all over.

Yes AI much better. At Monaco myslf and Vettel side by side going down into Mirabeau I had the inside line into the corner. I thought job done. But Vettel hung in round the outside and got me into the hairpin.
Another exsample at Spa. Driving a Williams going through Blanchimont, Kimi does a Verstappen on me it was awesome as the sparks from the Ferrari has he headed to the bus stop chicane.

Nice additions to the MFD and HUD, great job CM. And what about the cockpit view players that look for more realism and use no HUD? Any plan to have more info added to the steering wheel display?

most if not allgames need patches of some kind to fix bugs people discover. Whilst I've not had any myself having the sparks back will be pretty good I liked seeing them in the preview build.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yap!!! Improvements a lot!!! 
Awesome! I love It! The changes in cameras (like real horizontal position), the better illumination inside of car! (now, legs are dark, how should) The line assist in track is fine, blue, more simple (no more colorful)! And much, much more, that I will find!!! Thank-you, @jennyannem!  <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

1. Update: The Handling in Xbox One controller also looks better because you don't loose more the control of the car in some situations, the case literally in your hands, now!  <3 <3 <3

Has anyone else had this happen. Turning into a cnr the car suddenly stops dead in it's tracks, then gets going again. Easily losing 5 or more seconds in the race. It's happened to me twice now. Once in the 1st Lesmo at Monza and also at turn 7 on the Red Bull ring. Has this been fixed?

Nice to have the sparks back, but for me they only seem to appear when going over curbs.

Very good idea to be able to adjust fuel mixture at start of the race, only thing is that you don't get alot of time to do it, start race hit hud button twice turn my rotatory nob, oh crap lights out, quick drop the clutch...could do with a delay between start race button and start light counting down, only need something like 3 secs, but it would help.

The solution to do this in the way it is implemented now is suboptimal!

Ah never thought of that, I only quickly tried it in quick race..so yeh if it works in the formation lap then all is good..

Hello Codie. Thank you for this update/patch. I hope it will be soon for PS4. Is there any chance that you add a a better/easiess way to retiring a car so our league commentators can stream from qualify to the end of the race without have to take control of their car back and retiring. A spectating option for the entire session or something like that please.

Impressive work, add a a difficulty slider in next patch and engine sounds from the V8 -V12 era and this will be the game of my dreams :wink:

Why would they use V8-V12 for V6 engines?! I do like more the sounds of these too but your suggestion is weird, hope it is sarcasm.

Is the wheel to wheel spinning problem have been taking care of in that patch? I can't see it. Like Hamilton vs Rosberg at Spa in 2015 (https://youtu.be/bBeGeeWaOLU), the car in front should have a puncture and the car in the back should loose part if his front wing. Right now in the game the car in the front get out with notting and the car in the back automatically spin. however, I never saw a car spinning in real life because of an other car steping on his front wing.
