Mexicola
f1since08 asked me a few questions so I figured I'll post some info here;Tyres contracts, like driver and engine contracts, are open at Monaco, however they are not limited to teams and are totally free.I'm aiming to run a test session/Grand Prix every week so that everyone has enough time to get their strategies in and that I can run this consistentlySponsors are non negotiable, would involve a massive amount of work for that kind of system to function properlyDriver stats will become available after the test session, and will concern Qualifying Pace, Race Pace and Consistency. Their pay will be displayed on the contracts section at the Monaco Grand Prix.Cheaper engines: you can negotiate with a supplier before a Grand Prix and you have the option for a cheaper version of an engine, badged as one of your sponsors but at the cost of power and reliability. Mexicola
MONTOYA TOPS TEST IN BARCELONAPre-season testing for 2001 has begun, with Williams debutant and CART champion Juan Pablo Montoya fastest in the session ahead of teammate Ralf Schumacher and Jordan's Jarno Trulli. Ferarri were only 8th and 11th, clearly not bothered at this point to show its ultimate pace.Enrique Bernoldi's Arrows ran into catastrophic technical difficulties midway through his first timed lap, a fire destroyed the inside of the car, and with no spare chassis at the test, the Brazilian newboy had to sit out the rest of the session while Jos Verstappen went 16th, after curiously giving unpleasant looks at the Minardi team boss.Test sessions in Jerez and Mugello are to follow.
