Having to postpone our league because of the state of online (PS4)

Recommended Posts

The online portion of F1 2016 is completely destroyed thanks to the patch, I don't know what you've managed to do Codemasters but the online now is suddenly messed up since the patch resulting in numerous players crashing from the lobby, resulting in it being impossible to race online.

We are a week away from starting our PS4 league on RaceDepartment, there were 17 of us looking forward to a great final pre-season race after quite a fun initial pre-season race last week pre-patch, and now suddenly due to these issues, we cancelled tonight's pre season race after trying to restart 3 times, and most likely we'll have to postpone our opening race next week.

I just don't get the reason for this incompetence, if you do not have the budget to put into a place a proper development plan that considers thorough testing at every stage (main game, patches), then don't bother with the F1 licence, I can't fault the content of the game you've produced this year it's amazing but what you never fail to do year after year is produce an incredibly buggy game that seems like it has never been tested, a competent developer wouldn't have these issues. I know a lot of people who were reluctant to buy this year's game but only bought it after extensive persuasion to join some league racing, this may be the final straw for these people as they will refuse to trust Codemasters in the future.

I've supported this series since the initial game and always loved the games but this can't be acceptable after 7 years, there simply isn't excuses anymore, especially as you just re-skinned F1 2013 for 2014  in order for next-gen focus to get F1 2015 right, and now we're at F1 2016 and game-breaking bugs are still common.

Pretty much the same. We were supposed to start our league (with 22 drivers + 5 back-up drivers) on Thursday but now it's more than likely that we have to postpone the start with at least a week. Such a shame and somehow it amazes me how badly Codemasters can screw up the game with one patch. Same thing last year.

maybe AOR also is affected and with it hundrets of players across all platforms. Seeing this happening to other leagues we can count that even thousands of players cannot properly league race now because the online is broken so hopefully codies sees that and release a fix in the coming days

I would be absolutely amazed if AOR isn't affected.

It's a bloody joke, we tried to start our league today, got through qualifying and 15 cars crashed on the grid, then we tried to restart just the race on it's own and it's done it again, this is ridiculous when are you going to answer for this, 22 people have just wasted 2 hours of their time because of your failure to solve basic issues AFTER 4 PATCHES.

Hi everyone we're aware of the problems with online game modes and we're working on fixing them as quickly as we can. I can only apologise and tell you that we're all really disappointed that this has happened and sorry that you cannot run your league races at the moment.

Thanks Lozzy, I think everyone's disappointed as well because before patch 1.03 there were no major problems as in disconnects and errors, it was all looking very promising. Just hoping you can get it back to that stability. Also after last years game many of the issues were left in the dark, so it's already very good to see that you're on top of things this time with responding and reacting to the problems. I'm still optimistic it'll be alright this time eventually, keep it up :) The game's great when it's working as intended.
