Patch 1.03 - Why did you change the handling?

A lot of people in the forum and the internet find that after 1.03 the handling has changed and is now worse than before, and I agree with them. The traction of the car has increased and you don't need to modulate the throttle as you did before. When the car oversteers you don't get a "snap oversteer" throug the FFB as you did before, the car just slides gradually and you don't loose much time if you control it. The curbs now have less impact to the balance of the car. Just WHY, Codemasters? Didn't Dirt Rally tell you that the community will appreciate a more simulative handling? It was pretty much perfect when I first tried the game! Now it looks more like F1 2015! Please go back to the 1.02 model! Oh and look into the helmets. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw them.

Pretty curious about these reports, because I really don't feel any difference after the patch. I'm driving the same lap times with the same setups and the back of the car still steps out easily when applying too much throttle. Are your lap times actually quicker after the patch?

I don't really feel any differences at all either. You have to take into consideration that bringing out a patch could of introduced some other handling differences. I know that they updated marbles etc, maybe it's made the track easier to drive on, just a thought. I wouldn't be to bothered about little things like this. It's not a game breaker.

I believe it is more similar to the F12015 model, and I did really like that model.

It definitely has changed. TC is present even when switched off. I use the DS4 on the PS4 without any driving aids using cockpit view.

It it wasn't in the patch release notes either

I've just done round 4 of my career in Russia, and the out-track grip seems to be more than the first days, expecially outside of turn 8-9... maybe it's because before I tried it only in time trial with just one car running, but I feel like you get more grip.

I think... All of you guys complaining of increased grip and hidden TC assists are literally just better at the game now, coupled with the PS4 multiplayer issues this has clouded yours minds thinking that there is a problem when there is NOT a problem. :)

Maybe mass delusion.

Or maybe they changed it on pad but not on wheel. Or maybe they updated some wheel behaviour but not others. That would explain why some people think it changed and others don't. But at the end of the day, if they say they didn't change it ...

If it was just me I'd say "ok, maybe I'm just not using the accelerator like an on/off switch anymore" but some of the best drivers in my country also find the game easier right after the patch came out (and they're definetly faster and more experienced than me) so...

I have found the comment you are referring to but he is listed as a member,codemasters not a employee. Infact the reply to his comments is we need a actual employee to state this. Note that the comment below states that David Greco commented on facebook nothing changed.
