[XBOX ONE Patch 1.3.0] Did not comply to tyre regulations warning - MP Championship

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

A friend of mine and I just finished a multiplayer championship session on Silverstone (50% race distance against 20 Hard AI).
I started on the Medium compound, and the race strategy was Medium - Soft - Hard.
During the Soft stint I noticed that I could finish the race on a second set of Softs, so I switched my pitstop to Softs.
About halfway into lap 25 of 26, the game gave me a tyre regulations warning.

I wonder, why does the game gives me a warning when I did race on two different sets of compounds (Medium and Softs)?

@Basmare

The rules are not the same as the last recent years.

There is a mandatory set of tires that you have to use.

On Silverstone the mandatory tires are medium and hard.

You only have to use 1 set of ANY mandatory tire to not get DQ'ed.

If you start on a mandatory tire (in this case the mediums) then it does not count.

If you went softs -> medium then you wouldnt have gotten a tire reg warning.

The game tells you what tires are mandatory in the allocation screen and in the garage (there's a white dot filled with a black checkmark)

Yes it's the rules. Basically it's not about just using 2 different compounds, but about using an actually reserved set for the race, you can't use these during qualifying. So when you qualify on harder tyres and start the race on that, it doesn't count as one of the reserved/mandatory race sets, and you have to use a harder, reserved set again during the race at some point.
