Will weak ps4 FFB with Thrustmaster be fixed?

Recommended Posts

Is this problem still being looked into or is it now too late for anything to be done? The FFB on ps4 with T300 is so weak compared to xbox one equivalent. It is pretty much a game breaker. Any chance it is still being worked on or will it remain broken? Cheers.

Still waiting for a fix.
All values to 150% like advised is not working.
Tried to set up the wheel manually to 540 degrees did not help either.

This is a gamebreaker for me and I cannot ask for a refund because I bought it via PSN.

Will this ever be fixed? The cars feel as being driven on ICE. FFB is nonexistent...

I too have everything moved up to 150% but the FFB is still far too weak. I had the game when i had an xbox one with Thrustmaster wheel and it felt superb. Such a shame it doesn't work on ps4. I find it hard to believe that nothing can be done about it? Sad as the game is now just sitting there gathering dust.

@Trupl00  @Munsonmcfly  My T300 works ok after the last patch, admitted its a bit weaker than my T500 but it's definately not as bad as it was before any patches came out. Make sure you have the latest software on your wheel by downloading it from Thrustmaster.com and connecting the wheel to a computer, this made the biggest difference for me :smile:  another thing that seems to improve the feel of the game is turning the steering linearity up to at least +4 this removes a lot of the ffb dead zone around the wheel centre.

How do you mean a computer? We are talking about the Playstation 4.
Going to the TM site now to look if any new FW was released...

You have to connect the wheel to the computer to check what firmware is installed using the thrustmaster control panel program and download the new firmware, trust me if your ffb is rubbish your wheel is not up to date.

Yeah my wheel is up to date with the firmware. Probably wouldn't feel as bad if I hadn't have played it on xbox one but sadly i have so i know it is nowhere near as good as it should be.

When you checked the firmware did you also check if the overall ffb was set at 100 and not its default?

I don't think so, this is the message I got back from ChristinaMC after a bit of back and forth about it. This whole thread is also on the technical assistance category. I know people object to hearing about it repeatedly here. I've given up on the issue, I just check back for the fabled announcement from time to time.

Hey! And honestly, no, it's not annoying at all - I can understand why you're persistent in trying to find things out. Anything we say about this has to be approved by Thrustmaster, (which is why we're waiting for them to come back to us), so that's why you're seeing a delay in news. I've chased them again, but speaking candidly in terms of a fix, I don't think the outcome is going to be the one you're looking for.

Once we have the nod from them to discuss it in more detail, then we will - but I hope the above gives you perhaps a little indication as to where we're at with them. I can only apologise that the back-and-forth between us and them has taken so long.

 @Munsonmcfly
Well that's a start at least, have you tried different cars on different tracks as the ffb varies quite a bit between 4wd fwd and rwd?  The Ford Fiesta rx at lyddon hill gives decent ffb  :smile:
