Hi @megantes, a lot of work has gone in to that video so thank you for sharing that. I'm glad you're happy to conclude that equal performance is indeed equal!

Hi @Lozzy, i have japanese version and uk version.(patch1.4 and patch1.5)
conclusion, online equal performance is not equal. (1.4 and 1.5)

Please look at this thread.
http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/45091/equal-cars-topspeed-test-from-www-topspeedracing-at

I tried to top speed test on chinese.
it was same result.

Mercedes and ForceIndia are top speed high, Red Bull top speed was low, and short gear. (351km/347km)
(default setting and use DRS.)

It is not absolutely the same performance.
Please investigate.

That thread is about a three-year-old game, how is that relevant?

Very nice job, although i noticed a difference between lap counters across the runs... most of the video were recorded during the 2° lap, but some of them a lap or even two laps further. This could hinder lap times since there might be higher tyres degradation in those cases.

The equal cars were not equal on 2015 and in pretty much every iteration of the game there has been an OP car that needed to be patch example being lotus on 2013 so no surprise at all if the equal cars were not equal but I don't think there is much in it.

The cars are completely fine. They have the exact same engine power and downforce. The only difference comes from the gear ratios but these are going to effect like 0.05% of all your running online. Its probably only going to make a difference on extremely long straights like China, Mexico, Baku with DRS open in qualifying. Now if the gears could be adjusted so that each car runs the same gearbox it would be perfect but I don't see it being a major issue.

I was the one who made this video and the tyre wear is not an issue. In a 5 lap race you get 100% scaled tyre wear so the tyres hold up perfectly across the 5 laps. The objective wasn't to do the outright fastest time possible but instead get a reasonably smooth and consistent lap across all the cars and a 5 lap race allows me to do that :) Of course in a perfect world this video would be done in quali with 3 laps of fuel but I think this method is fine for highlighting any major differences between cars(there aren't any)
