Hi @Lozzy My own upload speed is around 1-2 mb/s but I wasn't hosting the session. I asked the host and his upload speed is around 10 mb/s. The same problem happened in F1 2015 with the jump starts, I believe it's still present in that game. It don't think this happened in '16 before the patch though!

Yes it's still a big issue. It happens in pretty much every race for multiple players, no matter how good the host's connection is. The difference in sync can be very big sometimes, in one instance I had already passed the 2 cars in front of me before their lights turned off so I had to drive around them.

This issue should be fixed on PC in patch 1.6 so I'd be interested to know if anyone playing on there is still seeing it. The fix will be in the next console patch too.

This is still a problem after 1.7 :(
Especially with more cars (10-12 and up), and for league racing I guess this is the worst bug of all including SC etc.
AOR leagues with about 100 drivers gets this (often, not all the time), and a user @RadioactiveJim have mentioned it is quite notisable when people are joining late (but not only in those cases).

The red lights are simply going out earlier for a few drivers (or later for most drivers?).

And the same on xbox. We had 2 players in our league race yesterday who could start the race earlier than the others. The first one came through and got P1, the other one created a whole lot of carnage :/

A little bit of background info. All players running at least a 16k down/2,4k up dsl/cable connection. All ports are forwarded and everyone's xbox shows "nat open". 
2 players suffered from the "disconnected by xbox live" bug during the quali session. One of them was the first driver who started earlier in the video.

Hello. that problem is still present in version 1.7.0.We are improving more and more problems with synchronization on the start of the races. I witness it once on the Britain GP and Two times on the Russian GP. I know the game add the gained time at the end but it is not fair at all. in the video bellow you'll see the car starting from P12 and getting in P1 before turn 1. The game add 2 or 3 seconds on is race time so he finish 13 seconds behind the leader but he would have been way more then 13 seconds behind if he had start in the traffic like he was suppose to. 
The lobby settings were:
no practice
Short qualify
50% race
manual start
manual pit entry
Formation lap

Is it possible to look at it and fix it in the next patch because that one cost a podium position.

This is a link to same race I linked to earlier, but from one of the cars starting earlier.
You clearly see the driver's red lights are off way earlier than @Putttee (the video I linked to earlier).
P.S. On a site note - it would be amazing if there could be 1 driver spectating for live broadcastings in a race.

Does this still happen if the pre race countdown is allowed to go all the way from 30 to 0? I.e. at least one player stays on the Race Strategy, Load Car Setup, Start Race prompt?

Is this relevant if there is a formation lap before? You make your race strategy then you drive the formation lap. Between the end of the lap and the race start there is a short black screen. I think this is for synchronizing the game again or doesn't it?

It's seldom a race is waiting all 30 secs.
Normally league drivers are in a chat eg. Teamspeak or Mumble so most know how much time is left and (normally) press Enter before countdown ends..
If that could have influence maybe force the 30 sec countdown in next update? :)
I'm sure noone would complain to test it out (could always be removed in next next update.. if we get so many?)

This is still an issue, and it is there also when noone rejoins.
I know that if it's periodic stuff it's hard to find maybe but please keep on trying to solve this one.
Would any further video proofs or anything help you in the process of finding this bug?

Poeple I practise with on regular basis (also with very good connections) are suddenly getting this bug as well when in a race with more people (never any AI in those races).
