Issue with tyres when quitting and restarting Co-op races (Xbox One)

Recommended Posts

I am playing co-op championship with a friend, but once in a while we restart the races of different reasons. However we're experiencing an issue where the game remembers the amount of tyre wear done in the previous session, and carrying this over to the next one (after quitting to main menu and recreating the multiplayer session). As of this, the strategy screen will change accordingly. The worst example we had, was that we one time had to quit halfway in the race, but when we then booted up later, the game told us to pit at lap 1 because the starting tyres were already dead. Then we started the race on 60% worn SuperSofts..

But then, I had to hard reset my console because my Xbox failed to launch the game (I tried to restart the game to fix it). Then when we tried to start the very same race, we both had the strategy tell us to pit on lap 1, but I (only me, not my partner in crime) had normal wear (from Q2) on my tyres. My friend had the 60%. We haven't tried since then, but when we do we're both going to do a hard reset. This solves the main problem (or as it seems), but the game still says the tyres are dead and prompts us to pit on lap 1.

Hi @SimplyFied, this is a bug we're aware of. If instead of quitting to the main menu and restarting the same save again do a reboot and it should be fine.

We're still looking in to a fix.

Hi @Lozzy has the issue above been rectified now as I'm encountering exactly same issue on PS4 in an online championship with a mate.

Hi @Mattyhoran, we're still looking in to that problem. To work around it for now please do a reboot instead of quitting and starting the race again.
