Flashman440 0 Posted October 3, 2016 Just bought the game and played for an hour, settings were pretty much out of the box on high or ultra and it worked well. Shut down the computer and came back to play after a couple of hours and it now constantly crashes when I try to load a level.Tried the championship then tried custom race and also online. Each time it crashes while loading the map.I verified the game files nothing missing. I changed the audio to 48khz and while the audio seems a little better the game still crashes. Also tried changing graphic settings to low and refresh rate down to 60hz and no difference. Unplugged my steering wheel and also no difference. loaded new Nvidea drivers and no change either. Restarted the computer after each change just in case. I have no problems playing a number of other games. Not sure where to go from hereSystem Speci5 3570K16Gig ramNvidea GTX770
Flashman440 0 Posted October 6, 2016 Well I tried a clean install of earlier nvidea drivers which had proven fine for me previously and it was slightly better but still crashing. On a whim I tried to play another title which I had played with no problems previously and what do you know, stuttering and a crash.I had a mild overclock on my GPU which has proven to be reliable for over 6 months, I knocked everything back to standard and what do you know, no more crashes.Stuffed if I know, anyway I finally got to find out what a great game Dirt Rally is.
