What F1 2017 needs: Exciting highlights at the end of each race

Recommended Posts

Imagine you JUST cross the finish line, taking your white knuckles off the controller, and finally exhale. Then you see images flash by and all of the cool highlights with flashy angles of the race accompanied by upbeat music with Crofty and Davidson yelling in excitement a RealTime commentary of overtakes and crashes, etc.

I think that would be an amazing experience to re live your race as one of those race highlight compilations with commentary as you'd see on TV, "Oh! He's going to the outside! What a pass!!" then cut to the next angles, etc.

Then, after the quick 1 minute montage, we see the race results and podium celebration.

Now THAT would get everybody wanting to finish a race and it would keep the new/casual gamer more interested and excited.

*This would only be offline because I'd assume it would be imossible that have that in an online race

I think FIFA do something similar, you get highlights of goals, hitting the post, tackles etc. I think this is a great idea. Not too fussed about the commentary, would rather just have the in-game sounds.

Well, I would rather like to drive a bit longer after the flag. The CPU takes over too soon. I would love to ride just past the pitbox and see your crew, for instance. And then drive a slow lap alongside the stands. It wil make the transition from racing and decompressing much smoother.

The highlights could come after that.

GP3/GP4 on the PC had that feature 10+ years ago. Along with cranes appearing to move crashes cars.

There should be a dedicated Open-Wheel racing channel dedicated to rebroadcasting F1 and IndyCar races and all sports open wheel only with no NASCAR or DTM.

Formation lap was a great add, but would be awesome having a cool down lap driving until the car reaches the parc ferme...cranes in GP4 were really cool, CM could have used it during safety car.

Really cool feature that would be, amazing if it had that as well, maybe after finishing drive the car back to the pits and maybe if you get on the podium be able to have features where you can talk in the room before the podium and have interviews, it would just make the game more immersive like f1 2010 (dont know why they took that away thats mostly why i still go back to the game). and tiny little features like with where it shows whose in front and behind you on the top left, make it bigger showing where everyone is in the race, qualifying and practice like in real life with colours next to them representing there team.

Oh really? That's cool. I really hope Codemasters takes a look at that then
