Poor throttle in race acceleration post patch

Recommended Posts

I'm playing on a PS4 controller with all assists and qualifying very well.
However since the patch (perhaps a coincidence) i am getting VERY poor acceleration in races and getting swamped at the start.
It's a newish controller and using right stick for throttle.
Any thoughts please......many thanks in advance

hi CatPower85 go to in game pause menu/preferences/customise controls/advanced wheel settings/ throttle saturation... had to turn mine up to 10 you can test it if on that screen if you press accelerate button it should tell you out of 100 what is actually been pressed on default for mine on ps4 controller it was only at 84 full throttle hence why i had to turn it up .... hope this helps

Thanks but I've tried that. Puzzling thing is that practice/qualifying is fine but race pace slow and appears engine slow to rev.

The only thing i can think of with that happening is its because of your fuel load at the start of the race the car will be obviously be more heavy and will be harder to handle i'm guessing you turn your fuel mix up at the start of the race to get you off the line ??

I've revisited the 'throttle saturation' setting as you suggest and at 0 it hovers around 90 to 95. I've turned it up to 10 as yourself and it seems to stay at 100. Perhaps a small glitch ?
I'll give it a race go later. Once again many thanks.
I'm using no brake assits only. Tried no an ABS but tyre wear in race was terrible...too much wheel locking i think !

You may not need it upto 10 have a play around see what suits best and be wary not to put it up to high because of tyre wear with wheel spin etc...

Your car is heavy from fuel - remove fuel in the tyre strategy. Work on your revs as you leave the line to ensure you control the car.

The fact that these cars are variable and show differences each time you start a race reflects a good sense of realism in my opinion.

If you want to be faster and more consistent, take all of the assists off and learn the raw car.

Yeahhh... I don't think it's that from what the OP is explaining.

Not a fuel load problem but adjusting throttle saturation seems to have cured it.
Mary thanks to everyone's help and input especially 'smudger 1982'

It might be a hotfix to make TC less powerful (a lot of people were complaining about it being too much ahead of non TC) and maybe that's what is bogging you down.

Edit: didn't see u fixed problem

Problem solved with adjusting throttle saturation.  Saturation to 5 seems to still give loss of revs (intermitantly)  as 'checking staus' will give 95 / 100 but saturation at gives seems to hold it steady at 100.
Strange how this has suddenly happened after months of no problems and only after latest patch but surely just coincidence as no one else seems to report it.
Thanks to all once again.
