Just switched from PC version to Xbox version

Recommended Posts

So I bought Xbox one version of f1 cause I thought playing it on my 65inch Panasonic plasma would be better but it seems graphically not as good. 65 inches seems to big but maybe because I'm used to looking at a 23.5 inch monitor I don't know maybe a newer tv would be the answer ?  I guess my gtx 1070 though is really making it crisper looking than the Xbox. trial and error I guess seeing how I'm having so much trouble deciding what's the best way to play this game

You would have better visuals connecting your pc to that plasma. The xbox is the least capable system you can play F1 on and the visuals are going to be tuned down in order ti keep things smooth. So you pick, bigger screen vs better graphics. I personally have to play on a pad so I much prefer the xbox for the feedback triggers on the controller which dont function when used on pc.

I'm new to all this but I love it and I actually didn't know I could hook my desktop up to my tv

well you can if you have an HDMI cable but seeing as you have an XB1 I assume you have so yes you can. In fact I have all my devices running through my TV my PC included

So I gotta move my entire desktop set up minus the monitor over to my tv that might be a chore and then when the mrs needs the computer we can't watch tv not sure on that maybe a killer monitor is the way to go

Nowadays a 65 inch tv costs less than a top of the line monitor I think. Theyve gotten seriously cheap.

Don't know how far your pc is from your TV, but maybe use a long HDMI cable (10 meters? ), and a wireless controller.
This way you wouldn't have to move your pc ^^

Good move!  Get rid of the PC entirely and stick with the Xbox - the gaming experience there is a lot better than on PC !!!!

Okay but why is it better? I was under the impression my gtx 1070 card would be giving my much better graphics than the Xbox one?

@wizzard69, I just have a question regarding playing the game on PC vs console. I have heard and read many articles/opinions suggesting that the game is "easier" to play on PC using no assists as the traction out of corners is a lot better. This would mean that you don't lose the car coming out of corners as easily as you would on the console. Did you have the same experience with the game?

I'm newbie so I've been on all assists turned on but that's gonna change I realize my lap times will get better once I really learn to brake for my own and hit my apex exits properly I will let ya know

If you get a wheel it will make a big difference. Much more immersive.

PC graphics are always going to be better than any console (assuming you have the hardware to run the game on highest settings).
