PC - DRS bug

Recommended Posts

Im using the DFGT wheel on the PC, and if you look away from this bug, the game is great!
Whenever im trying to open up DRS in the DRS zones it activates for a second, then turns off. This can happen multiple times down a straight, and it really is annoying, and gamebreaking for me. The bug appears in every game mode: career, time trial etc.
I have already tried to put on some braking deadzone, but that did not help at all :(
Help or a bug fix is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Hi @mhn16 it's not a case of having to hold the button is it? That shouldn't be the case because it's a button press to open it and another or brake to close it but it's worth a try.

I had same wheel and same problem in f1 2015.

I ultimately traced issue down to brake pedal which slid a little bit out of position and was applying brake a little bit.

To check,  put your left foot under brake pedal and apply upwards force and see if drs still turns off.

If thats the problem , you need to open pedal set and place them correctly

Thanks for your help guys. Like VasuGoud said, it is a problem with my brake pedal, applying a bit of pressure all the time. I have now opened the pedals a couple of times (cleaning and putting them together in the right position). Unfortunately it keeps dragging no matter what im doing. I will try to get in contact with Logitech support, and hear which opportunities I have. :) But yeah thanks again.

add a bit of deadzone to the brake pedal (also you need to glue the pots so they stay still, when they move out of position the pedals lose calibration.

I was going to say exactly the same as neruu009. A bit of deadzone on the brake pedal should fix this for you.

I know it should make sense to add deadzone, but for some reason it does not help at all. I've tried to add deadzone, both in the game, and in logitech profiler. But even though I add like 80 % deadzone, it still shows the small flickering in the brake pedal in the game :(

So it's like the pedal is being completely pressed every so often? In that case I don't know what other advice I can offer you sorry :(.

When i had same problem deadzone didn't work.

Think drs functionality doesn't take into account brake deadzone set

@VasuGoud is right, the DRS completely ignores any deadzone set on the brake, I've just put my deadzone on my pad to 100% and it's still closing the DRS straight away despite the brake bar not showing and the car not actually braking.

That being the case the deadzone isn't going to help you mhn16 so you're going to need to find a way to fix the pedal.

If it's just the pedals that don't work you might be able to replace those without having to buy a new wheel?

What you could try is a program called DIView, can get it here http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=page&id=12

It allows you to set minimum and maximum values for your pedals. Set your minimum for the brakes above where it is getting the erroneous triggering.

This video shows how to do a calibration, it is on a different set of pedals but the procedure is the same

Fortunately I was still under warranty, so i got my money back. I used them to buy a new wheel (g29). I ofcourse had to pay a bit extra, as the g29 is more expensive. I can now enjoy the game :). I am sure that the video RadioactiveJim posted could help others with the same problem that I had. But once again thanks for the help, and take care guys :)
