Just wanted to mention that there is a 70% off sale on WRC 7 on Steam until the 28th August, for anyone who might be interested. I don't know how good it is but it's only $11.99 USD and the fact that it offers 52 stages has me tempted, anyway here is the link:

its a great game . well worth a buy. not quite as good as dirt rally but a solid game. the 3rd one is my video :)

Nice one @dgeesi0 ! I know you spend a lot of time playing rally games (and very well too;) so I will gladly take your advice on this one and make the purchase, another good rally game is always a welcome  thing :) It does look like a quality game and I like the stages and graphical style and quality, it actually reminds me of the high quality work that went into Dirt Rally. Anyone know when the new WRC (8?) game is being released?

I didnt realise that was you straight away, nice driving as usual, but the video quality suffers a bit on that one unfortunately. Youtube is a strange beast to deal with I find :|

yeah certain games dont film well. a prime eg of this is Dirt 4 vs Dirt Rally . Dirt rally looks better on video for eg against Dirt 4. Dirt 4 becomes pixelated once uploaded, even though the raw copy looks nice.

I don't see why one game would look consideradably worse once uploaded if they both look good in the raw files, that doesn't make sense unless you use a different bitrate on export?

It seems to be the way YT encodes the file, what it sees in the image and how it tries to save space.

yeah youtube its not new but unfortunate for certain games. as they look like as because of youtube compression . really annoyed me as on Dirt 4 would of uploaded loads more footage but just gave up in end as it looked like ass.

Full list of rally cars from V-Rally 4: 28 in total. Not bad but some glaring omissions. I think the next DiRT will, most likely, have a better list.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it garbage, but it's definitely not great.

No I’d say that’s pretty bad. Only one r5 car, a random r3, no fiesta. It’s an alright selection but it’s a bit random with not many in each class

Yeah, too little in each class.

BTW, there are two R5s: Skoda and Citroen.

My french isn't the best but aren't they just saying that they are detaching themselves a little from WRC? They still have the rights from the sentences before that and they are capitalizing on that. "Acquis" means assets?

No Subies, which is a crime in a rally game, the most modern Ford is an Escort Mk.2, no Peugeot either, no Audi quattro... They have some glaring omissions there, but they still managed to have a Skoda and four Citroëns, which are known to be nightmarish with Codies. Toyota are on a whole different level with licensing though  :D

The cars seem to float over the road and the wobbly hud just increase that feeling, hopefully it's just an illusion but it doesn't look very promising.
And I'm not even talking about the terrible sounds, awful 3D models for most of the cars, the robotic codriver and a  framerate locked at 30 fps.

But still most of the video games websites are praising it, a shame rally games nowadays have such low standard in the video game industry .
