EKS were originally a privateer team, but had works support in 2017 and 2018. 

If I recall correctly the lack of official backing was the reason why the S1 hasn't appeared in previous DiRT titles.

EKS were originally a privateer team, but had works support in 2017 and 2018.

But wouldn't then the RGT icon be on top with all the other classes? 
Could be there are 3 more R5's yet to be revealed. Which is a very tight list

A lot of these are very unlikely for various reasons, but it will be interesting to see if they appear or not

I just realized the i20 is not included in the 6 we know. Thought it would be in sure.

... well I just hope it carries over from D4. It's IMHO the best looking R5 and my most driven in D4.

What do I drive otherwise in that class?!? Guess the Polo or Fabia actually, although I find their middle exhaust really weird...

Might be "off-screen" as "classes filter" seems to travel further (since we can see the group B icon, yet we know there are more historic classes)

Or it might just be the event selected which doesn't allow RGT cars.

So far, and by looking at the order of the car groups, the 2000cc should be in between the Group A and NR4, but it isnt. So that may mean there's no 2000cc at all at launch and they're saving it for DLC, which would be quite a smart strategy to sell as they are highly demanded cars and this time maybe the group could come with more than just a Focus 2001 and Impreza 2001. The Focus 07 inclusion doesn't make much sense and it ruins the 2001 cars competition.
A smart move would be putting the Evo VI on the 2000cc as well.

Didn't @ChristinaMc did say that the press build was an almost complete version of the game? Could they be saving something to reveal closer to release?

The Evo VI have already been showcased though which currently places it in Group A again. 

As you say, the 2007 Focus doesn't make sense in a class filled with 2001 cars, but I would still miss it. It's a great car to drive and they really nailed the unique sound that car makes.

Yes, and a part of me hopes that. But looking at the confirmed cars, we are nearing the 50 mark and there's still no signs of a 2000cc class, at best with the same 2 2001 cars from DiRT 4 and DiRT Rally. People were expecting at least 1 new car there, such as the Peugeot 206, or the move of the Lancer to that group, and were expecting the 97-2000 version of the Impreza as well.

Still, there's room for the coming DLCs that are already confirmed in the next 6 months and I just hope this game is at least as successful as DR1 so we can keep building on this one.

No offence, but if people were “expecting” a 97-2000 Subaru they only have themselves to blame. I was hoping for the Evo VI to move up and an Evo III to join Group A, but wishing and expecting are very different things.

I’m also hoping DLC is successful and keeps going for a while, but as already a team leader half of the cars in it are semi-confirmed as RX ones, it remains to be seen what’s in it for the rally fan. But like yourself, I look forward to finding out - just trying to not my hopes up too much (c’mon two rally locations!)...

Well the official word is "over 50 cars", so if that number is in excess of 55 I think there is still hope for a 2000cc class. 

I agree with the reasoning for moving the Evo 6 but, unless there is an earlier Evo coming (to add to Group A), then I'm expecting to see the Evo 6 in the same place.
