It's featured in a game that is outspokenly aiming for realism so I don't understand why the RX wouldn't be aiming for that as well? Maybe the RX folks want it to be a bit more straight forward? Still, i haven't played it for myself. Also don't know which assists were turned on and things like that. But from seeing the footage it seems overpowered and to much grip, mostly in the low speed corners. It pushes the throttle on wet mud, and the car just accelerates without any struggle it seems. If I compare it with the real deal it seems the wet grip levels in DR2.0 are similar to dry real:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Bf8Omxr7nQMaybe I am quite correct with that. Because the player his best lap is a 44,3 (last lap) and it isn't the best driving. So still improvement. In real life in 2018 during the final the fastest lap was set by Ekstrom, a 43.3During the semi-final Timmy Hanssen had the fastest lap with 44.2RESULTS of this quick research:- We don't know exactly which assists and stuff the person uses.- It isn't the latest build.- In the pre-build the grip levels in the wet are similar as real life in dry conditions.- In the pre-build the player set similar laptimes as real life, but makes mistakes, so can go faster. CONCLUSION:- If these physics will be used for WRX Supercars in the final build, than the grip levels are much to high and the laptimes much to quick. In my opinion lower, more realistic grip levels and a bit less power, makes the car more authentic and imo also more accesible. EDIT: One more thing. On the first day of Quali sessions at Catalunya 2018 round it rained. Results of Q1 and Q2:http://media.rallycrossrx.com/results/SC_H1_results_ESP_2018.pdfhttp://media.rallycrossrx.com/results/SC_H2_results_ESP_2018.pdfFastest lap in the wet was: 53.2 by Timmy Hanssen. In game the laptimes are 9-10 seconds faster in the wet :open_mouth:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZX9KOOXcjshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojSoYRh3tKE@ChristinaMc / Could you please give this info to the developers? JorritVD 1,236 Posted January 24, 2019 Some new RX footage, this time from Loheac. People seem to like the Audi a lot:https://www.instagram.com/p/BtCBJbbgmhL/
Jepsertti 26 Posted January 24, 2019 I've seen so much footage of wet roads this week that I'm starting to think that DR2.0 simulates the weather of Wales in every country
Rallystu2 715 Posted January 24, 2019 Yup, based on the amount of water in Australia, I reckon when Wales is re-released we will need a separate 'submarine' vehicle class to release alongside as DLC.
ShodanCat 231 Posted January 24, 2019 I've noticed the turbo modeling is improved. In previous Dirt games, the boost would build in a linear fashion mostly independent of engine load, instead tied to RPM like a supercharger. Looks like the boost comes on a little more realistically, although perhaps not enough lag/spool time in cars like the Audi S1 which have notoriously slow spooling. Guess I'll have to check it out in more detail next month

Rygar86 67 Posted January 25, 2019 Footage so far of Spain with all those rocky walls looks amazing and the stage looks like it will offer some great racing amongst those beautiful twisty sections. The very brief section I saw of Australia with the car going over a jump on a wet muddy track also looked very good.Menus look great as well from what Ive seen, especially like the way you scroll horizontaly through a really nice image of each of the various stages of a location, really looks great. But the way the car tuning pages have a graphic of the car component highlighted on an image of the car is awesome and a very nice homage to Collin McRae Rally 2.0, I loved the menus in that game and they still look modern and beautiful even today.Would love it if we could get a Dirt Show soon to show of some more of all this. But the WRC promoters are too stubborn to stick with Codemasters, unlike the WRX promoter. At least there will be 14 countries and 100+ stages available from release date. And wet roads doesn't look like mirrors ;)I'm a pad player and enjoyed WRC7 gameplay. Stages design was quite nice as well. So I'll probably buy two rally games this year. I recognize WRC 7 had plenty of faults and weaknesses, but there were enough good parts to make up for them. Plus we just don't get enough rally games in general. Fedemaisonnave 48 Posted January 25, 2019 Kylotton cant make any serious rally game, cant compare to any late Dirt Games
Rallycameraman 241 Posted January 25, 2019 I won’t be going anywhere near WRC8 unless they include real world stages and much improved physics.

It was way better than the former ones. And the tracks, thus not being 100% accurate modelisations of real ones, were technical, varied and interesting to play. The handlings u're isn't like Dirt Rally, but IMO better than lots of rally games. I had more fun with it than with Dirt 4.
P308R 28 Posted January 25, 2019 I really really like WRC7 and its stage design is second to none. The game is very dry in its presentation and feels barebones at times. But I think it is very good effort of Kylotonn.
afahoy 190 Posted January 25, 2019 WRC7 is pretty good, although I don’t think the stages are as good as everyone seems to think. They look pretty from a distance but the road surface is kinda bland, low-detail and simplistic compared to DR/D4 (and almost certainly DR2).

Clearly I'm alone in thinking the stage design is lacking across the board. It's fun from time to time but it's not on the same level of anything codies have ever done or anything evolution studios ever did.

tbtstt 2,387 Posted January 25, 2019 Given that video gives us a clear look at the list for virtually all of the rally car classes and that the Manta has been mentioned previously, does the omission of Group B RWD in the media build indicate that there are potentially more classes in the retail version, or do we think that the media build contains all the retail version classes and we will have to wait for DLC to see any other rally car classes? LutzM 51 Posted January 25, 2019 I could imagine that a complete class "misses" at launch and comes with a DLC, such as a 2001 WRC class (As they've got the lics for Skoda & Citroen now) but the Grp. B RWD class should be in from the start - it's only 2 cars!
tbtstt 2,387 Posted January 25, 2019 I am starting to think that the 2000cc class is looking less likely for launch. Kit car and Group B (RWD) would take us to 56 cars (including the Porsche)
