Not going to hurt to wait a day 👍

Snaky115 18 Posted February 12, 2019 That's a 2005 Fabia isnt it? I feel like it is.
dgeesi0 305 Posted February 12, 2019 yeah great idea releasing new content like this is more better as you constantly have new things popping off and to look forward to while playing. assetto corsa been doing this with competionzione
tbtstt 2,387 Posted February 12, 2019 I assume that the C4, Fabia, Focus and Impreza are all 2000cc cars. BMW M1 and Opel Manta in a Group B RWD class? The burning question for me, is what Impreza is it? The 2001 car doesn't really fit with that lot. Is it one of the holy grails? Are we going to get an S12b?...
SRD_SimVansevenant 863 Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) The locations were rather expected however it's unfortunate that Ireland is not there though. #NoIrelandNoBuy anyone? I wonder what the German stages will be based on. Still the military base Panzerplatte? When it comes to the cars, well there are a few lovely surprises and unexpected twists! The Fabia WRC has always been a favourite of mine to be honest so nice to see it. The M1 Procar BMW is quite a surprise as well! I wonder what happened to the 037 and Porsche, though? I presume that the Impreza is going to complement the Fabia so is it going to be the car from between 2003-2005? It makes sense. Petter's son is helping out from time to time and Phil Mills is the co-driver voice. I like this version the most personally. ShodanCat 231 Posted February 12, 2019 So for actual new content, we are looking at the BMW M1 and Skodia Fabia, and possibly the Subaru depending on which one it is...
Mike Dee 1,248 Posted February 12, 2019 I can't believe my Snow Particle BS actually came true... Alright, everyone start pitching in we need to buy Christina and Urgaffel two boxes of biscuits!

Going by the rest of the "DLC" I assume it's just going to be the 2001 version ripped straight out of Dirt Rally.
tbtstt 2,387 Posted February 12, 2019 I really hope they have recorded the audio of a real Fabia WRC. One of the rowdiest sounding 2.0L WRCars! 2
RallyDriven 398 Posted February 12, 2019 I’m a tad disappointed in it being old stages, but in particular Monte as that was my least favourite place in DR1
blaugranamarti 17 Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) Really disappointed with this one. A new group B RWD car is the best part (where is the Lancia, though?), but basing an entire DLC on reused content from the previous game is just anti consumer. Recently Hitman 2 did something similar, adding the content from Hitman 1 as DLC (which benefited from some slight improvements of the new game), but those who already owned the first one got it for free. teknoid85 444 Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) Monte Carlo Rally and other returning classic rally environments Germany and Sweden benefit from a significant visual uplift since the first DiRT Rally®. The new lighting system combined with improvements to the track materials, foliage and character models bring the locations to life even more – while the challenges of tyre choice, track degradation, updated handling physics, and the optional hardcore damage mode, all arriving to the franchise with DiRT Rally 2.0, provide a breadth of new ways to experience these iconic stages. New vehicles to the DiRT Rally franchise also include the ŠKODA Fabia Rally, the BMW M1 Procar Rally, and the Subaru Impreza – all cars that have been highly-requested by the community in recent years. Those who have purchased the Season One content will also have access to a set of exclusive high reward in-game events and further in-game bonuses. “It was important for us to not just include brand new content for DiRT Rally 2.0, but also to recognise the fan favourites from the previous titles”, commented Ross Gowing, Chief Games Designer. Gowing continued, “The improvements the team have made for DiRT Rally 2.0 are plain to see, and Monte Carlo is a shining example of that. I think it looks incredible, and I hope our players feel the same way too. We are making a significant commitment to expanding the DiRT Rally 2.0 experience for the players that have been calling for us to do exactly that over a number of years.” http://blog.codemasters.com/community/02/seasonone-dr2/ Edited February 12, 2019 by teknoid85

Well, be prepared for a bunch of people to exclaim this is great and fantastic and we should be happy for it. This is really, really shady practice in my honest opinion - UNLESS the rallies have significant updates, changes and/or additions, this is very much just plopping already developed content into the next title and charging for it. 1 2
toninus 182 Posted February 12, 2019 Are we sure the dlc stages are only old ones ? No new stages from returning countries ? Also : #NoKitCarsNoBuy
