An editor is not in the plans for DiRT Rally 2.0 but if we're doing any future "original liveries" yours and everyone else's feedback is taken into consideration. thank you pj,a little bit more creativity is all is needed. The people making liveries are not the ones who work on game engine stuff. 'Developers' are not an undifferentiated, interchangeable mass, they have specialist skills, and are a limited resource. There are other games that need more attention than DR2 at the moment. Edited July 30, 2019 by caerphoto
chrisjaf 75 Posted July 30, 2019 hows this you inspire your devs with a cool wall like on top gear with peoples liveries that have been posted on forums and come to some sort of compromise with the sponsors and add remove any that infringe copyright.

chrisjaf 75 Posted July 30, 2019 i ask for them to fix the game.and your saying those same devs don't have work to do no the game itself as in graphics and scenery art department come on behave yourself sonny.the livery editor was a suggestion in response to the lack of imagination in codies offerings and not de facto you must implement it at once,if only it was that easy the game would be AMAZING,
JZStudios 631 Posted July 30, 2019 (edited) Good god. Here's something completely different. In a bit of self reference... I'm not very good with the Forza editor, and I don't know how to make it look more "froggy." I still enjoy it though. Hmm, that last picture is kind of blurry, but I do like the rather annoyed looking Vipers. Edited July 30, 2019 by JZStudios
PJTierney 4,909 Posted July 30, 2019 Forza's editor is great (I've used it myself), it's also a remarkable piece of tech that takes tons of work to not only implement but convince licensors is okay to use. That's outside of the scope of DiRT Rally 2.0, but who knows what the future may bring. What isn't outside the scope of this game are the Group B Rallycross cars; I've got word that they should be live for everyone on all platforms now, so get out there and throw some sideways action 😄

Otherwise it's basically just a project from view. The usable resolution along with total layer count has increased significantly. The original Forza I think was only something like 100 layers per panel and the "texel" resolution was pretty low so things were blurry, especially if they were angled. Now I'm using pixel accuracy on a 4k tv and its got like 3000 layers per panel. Also fun fact, that' my buddys Xbox since I have PC and PS4, and he just walked in when I had the words "Daddy love" done. He doesn't get the reference. Yeah, F1 2019 🤣 i think Dirt Rally 2 has improved a hell of a lot since release. The patches since since PJ arrived were also a lot more effective at tackling the higher priority issues with the game. May have been a coincidence. Ffb, blurry ps4 graphics and AI all fixed within close proximity of each other. The first few patches back in march and april fixed minor things like font and in game text. PJ is doing a superb job, but i don't think it was his arrival that got fixed the FFB and blurry ps4 graphics, those issues were fixed before, AFAIK... We have to give credit to the development team, the patches are rolling at a somewhat slow pace, but the team is working on it, and steadily fixing the main issues...

FFB is better. graphical issues are fixed. loading times are faster. rain effects are better clubs are in b) keep in mind most of the people working on the game got moved over to F1 2019 and now (probably) Grid. there probably aren't too many scenery people left for example. c) the game isn't a mess like you claim.
F2CMaDMaXX 505 Posted July 31, 2019 Don't forget, F1 is it's own team and in their own office, it's not likely anyone got moved to that team for it's release. They did/do all help on Grid though.

I'm not trying to sell anything with the community photos in particular. I just think they're awesome and want to put the "social" back into our Social Media channels 😉 People on the team are certainly taking notice of those screens though, in various ways that may or may not have future game implications 🙂 3

Riggs 1,668 Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) Don't you guys forget there may be a big batch of the DiRT Team busy with the VR implementation. Everyone forgets that little big detail when complaining about late patch rollouts. I may be wrong on this statement, as in it's whatever sponsor that is developing the VR implementation instead of the DiRT Team. But combine that with the fact that F1 2019 just got released, plus GRID development is at full gas to get released and there you get the answer for the delays on some bug fixes. A fact is, patches have been rolling out in a constant pace and they've been ironing out the game considerably so far. There's still a lot to fix but I'm sure we'll get there. More importantly: it's being done. It's not like there's radio silence about it anymore. DiRT4 didn't get half of the attention, and apparently it's the main title (although the Rally spin-offs have been destroying the main series).
