The anticipation just isn't the same this month!  I don't think the guys will top the excitement of the Finland release!

With the variety in the Modern Masters pack, @justbiglee could have had a complete teaser-fest with us too!!

We didn't have one to big-up Finland either, but we all knew what was coming and potentially, how good it was to be.

With Modern Masters, no one knows what to expect at all so we don't know whether to be excited or not!!  The only hints we've had, are a general R4 class and a 2007 Focus WRC?

Excitement sells games after-all!!

(in fairness, the Focus in its own right, will be pretty awesome!!)

Finland had a community test, so we ended up doing a bit of teasing ourselves.

Personally I think there are lots of reasons it didn't need a test.
Though there are also some reasons why it would have been beneficial since a few of the people in community test continue to suffer from the severe stutters problems in 0.8 that 0.9 will hopefully fix.
But who knows?

I got a G27 yesterday, had a DFGT up to that point.  

The stutters started as soon as I switched over, but I restarted the PC and the stutter seemed to lessen.  I had previously changed the processor detect .XML too

Logitech profiler was causing stuttering for me with my g27

So we all are in a holding pattern for now.  It doesn't sound too bad,  just some minor stuff to work out.  I would guess still this week, but its not in Codies hands right now.

r4 class are 3 cars only?  

• Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
• Renault Mégane
• Subaru Impreza

The Megane isn't necessarily even included in R4 classification, I don't think Renault got beyond N4.
So, that leaves Impreza Hatch and Saloon, and the Mitsi Evo 9 and 10.

What will be exciting, will be the 2006/07 WRC additions

That's one thing that we can be sure of. I don't think that Renault will make it into the game cause it's not so popular, so it will be 2xSubaru's and 2xMits.) but R4 are pretty same level (and were competing) with S2000, maybe there's a small chance for this group?

I'm wondering if Codies didn't missed something related to licensing and have gotten acknowledged of that just now before release... that licensing is the biggest pain in the ass for both gamers and developers. Does it always have to be about $?

Anyway, can't wait for new Focus and keeping my thumbs crossed for this weeks release :smiley:

My suggestions: no chance for S2000s in this update (unfortunately), or achievements would have been added for them. R4 will be the new class and I imagine there'll be a couple of additions to others.

Also doubt that R4 will have four cars. "An" Evo has been specified before I believe, so I would guess it will be either the IX or the X, along with one or two Subarus; I'm guessing the N14 is a shoe-in (seeing as the model already exists for RX) and maybe one other, although I wouldn't count on it.

I highly doubt anything's been 'missed' with regards to licencing. You can be sure that most of them will require a final sign off on the models and their portrayal so it's natural that once all is finished they still need these before they can release anything. I imagine they're just waiting on these and to make any minor changes that are requested as a result.

My biggest question is to what class the Ford will be in; 2000s or 2010s.
